Emirates Seating Guide

A380

First:
  1. Solo travelers: some say row 4 is loud from the galley behind, while row 1 may be a bit more cramped than other rows. Most suggest rows 2 or 3, seats A or K.
  2. Couple: E/F seats in rows 1-3 are all fairly similar.
Business:
  1. General: the mini cabin at the back has a more secluded feel, though some comment that there is noise from the bar beyond row 23.
  2. Solo travelers: most prefer seats A and K (solo seats on sides with windows).
  3. Couple: aim for seats E/F to be closer together.
Economy:
  1. General comments: upgrade if at all possible!

777

First:
  1. Solo travelers: Row 1, especially 1a and 1k, is the worst because of galley and lavatory right in front. Noisy and high traffic. Not much difference between row 1 and 2 in terms of space on the 77w for k or a seats.
  2. Couple: there is not really any difference between row 1 and 2 for e and f seats except 1 is near the galley and 2 is near row 6 in j where there may be children
Business:
  1. General: There is limited direct aisle access as the configuration is 2-3-2. The rear J cabin will have Y pax move through on boarding.
  2. Solo travelers:
  3. Couple: 7 j and k are great if you don't mind the missing window. It's in the private mini cabin - a great choice unless you like window gazing. You also don't get y traffic passing through this cabin as you turn left on entry!
Economy:
  1. General comments: Y on the 777 is for slim people.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of 1E/F vs. 2E/F?

And this is a rather specific question, but for anyone that's flown DXB to GVA, would A or K be better for the views out of the window (or are they pretty much the same)? We plan to sit 1A/2A or 1K/2K on this shorter leg for some daytime views.

Thank you for any help.
Help anyone? Would be much appreciated.

To be honest there is not much difference between rows 1 and 2 in F suites. I personally would go for row 2 but that is personal preference only. I cannot help with views ...

I think you will be happy with row 2. I usually sit in 2a or 2k and only was disturbed once by a sick baby crying in Business class behind us. If you want to sit together go for row 2 center seats. I think it is more private than row one center.

Boeing 777-300ER

Hi,

I'm gonna fly to Indonesia with Emirates. The planes I have to take are Boeing 777-300ER but not sure it they are class 2 or class 3.

We are 4 people.
Which are the best seats? We are thinking about 47D/E/F/G because the extra space of the removed seats. What do you think?

Thank you,

DXB-SFO, 777-300ER, 23F (Bulkhead but center seat). Is this better than a regular aisle seat?

Thanks in advance...

I normally fly EK into GVA in K seats albeit in J. Nice view over the Alps as you fly up through Europe and approach GVA, followed by Lac Leman, but to be honest that view of the lake will depend on which direction you land.

Have some pics of flying in whilst seated in a K seat in J if you would like to pm me. But may be now a little late for that as I have only just now read your post...Sorry for that.

The other thing I omitted is the ICE which will give you great views as you are on final approach and land, and that's something worth seeing. And you could also take pics of that as you sit in your seat. I did......

Cheers

Sim.

Forum, where is that list again that shows the aircraft code (e.g. 73J) linked to frame registrations and therefore type of aircraft (refitted, new, old)?

It's a bit out of date now with the absence of the excellent contributions from Emirates777.

Hey all, I'm in need of a bit of help.

I'm in 201 in business in a few days, and was wondering about something related to the seats -

What numbers are the seats that are actually at the window (the personal bar is on the aisle side). Odd or even. I booked 18K thinking I'd be in a window seat, but by the looks of a seat map I just saw it's an aisle seat with the personal bar in the window.

7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 20, 23 and 25 are the window seats in A or K.

It changes between odd and even numbers due to a missing Row 13 and then because of the bulkhead between the forward and rear cabins.

A and K are window seats on the 380, B and J are the aisle seats.
