Awesome!. Long awaited. Only fly in the ointment is that EK500 was operating at 70-80% capacity in Y (rarely oversold) so its gonna get worse with the 380. 501 always goes out full (connecting to the morning bank of departures), so that would benefit.

Going from B777-300ER to an A380 from July for the Mumbai service:

Something tells me there will be a lot of empty seats on that A380.
I am not going to be on that flight due to the horrendous arrival time.

Couldn't agree more that 501/500 has horrible timings. Though 501 is the most busy flight of all BOM departures since it connects to the morning bank of EK departures, so that flight will pretty much go out full. 500 was never more than 70% full and will continue to operate below capacity.
I used to take 501/500 earlier when connecting on EK201 and returning back on 202 when 203/204 was being operated by a 777. After the upguage of 203/204 to A380, I've switched completely to 203/204. Helps handle the jetlag much better.

DXB-MIA is probably not going to happen anytime soon. So many open opportunities, and still no service.

They desperately need a Gaborone route ......... They already serve Luanda, Lusaka, Harare, JNB, Cape Town and Durban.

Wow! Great news! Thanks! Is this route has done extremely very well? It was so successful route. Hopefully, they will bring A380 into BOS sometime in the future.

Interesting statement given the fact that BOS is the diversion airport for most A380 operations into JFK (EK and LH have diverted with A380 due to weather and medical emergencies before). The first A380 landed at BOS way back in Feb 2010 for compatibility checks...
It is Terminal E that needs to be upgraded, Massport seems to be working on that!
