Cheers guys! Im trying to make my mind up as to book J class to FLL or MCO .... I need to go north of orlando but also want to choose the best product.
FLL seems to have the refurbished 77L. No idea about the MCO route as there doesn't seem to have any consistency?
The alternative would be to go to JFK on the A380 and take a connecting flight from there.

Was hoping that they would use the newer J class seats on the 77W to MCO as I hate the lie flat seats on the older 77W!

Thanks guys!

VQ-BZY (ex A6-EBD) now with Azur Air still has the EK seats and exact same configuration of 42J and 386Y.
Can be seen here:

Hello. Thinking about the EWR-ATH route with the 77W in J, is that likely to be the older style cabin as opposed to the newer cabin that was released late in 2017?

EK210 seems to be operated by fairly old 77W frames, so you'll get the older style J cabin.

B773 retirement

Last B773 (non ER) frames are scheduled to retire in October.
Remaining aircraft are A6-EMV and A6-EMX.

Anyone knows if EK767 (DXB-JNB) on 20 September will get the new 77W with the new IFE? Thanks!

My crystal ball doesn't know - and I doubt anyone else will. You'll be able to tell the morning of departure.

Emirates B777-200LR (A6-EWJ) is now reconfigured to 38J/264Y.

It is now the 5th aircraft out of 10 to be reconfigured.

A6-EWC seems to be the 6th B77L that's being reconfigured. It will likely return to service in the 2nd week of October.

EDIT: B777-300 (A6-EMV) moved to DWC yesterday, leaving only one 777-300 (non-ER) in the fleet.
ZRHMD11 and sydtogla like this.

Retirement, Updates and deliveries fleet

Some info in EK's fleet in September 2018 are:
*777: EQO, EQP to join fleet soon.
*EMV, EMX will be withdrawn end of this month and flew for CX soon?
*EBS and EBT to be the last 77W's to Rossiya delivered scheduled for Sep/Oct 2018.
*Most of the 777/A380's that used the EXPO 2020 Decal are repainted to Expo 2020 CS (Orange, Blue and Green). EPB and ENG are the latest to have got the repaints.
*Per Planespotter source, EUW latest A380 joined fleet.

Per routesonline source, EMX will be retired likely next month and all 773 will go for 77L or 77W.

EMV is already withdrawn, it positioned to DWC on the 22nd of Sept.

EMX just got back from a week long maintenance check, so it's fit to fly for a while longer, and will be withdrawn with EMV in late October and fly to XMN where they'll be repainted in CX livery.

I got it, no matter what it is, 2 of them will be flying for CX soon likely next month or later. So I think once they are gone, there will be no more RR powered 777 anymore after the 772 got away as well last year. The only RR powered jet flown by EK is the A380-842 if not mistaken after the 773 is gone from it's fleet.

Strange that FR24 shows it flying from DFW to MKE as AA1234.
Now, it's not uncommon for EK aircraft to show up as AA1234 when they are at the maintenance facility in DXB, but FR24 actually shows A6-EBV flying from DFW to MKE on both 18th and 19th September with that callsign. Very strange.

EDIT: Probably a bug on FR24s end. AA1234 was operated by a regular MD83 on both 18/19th September.
