I highly doubt Cathay would take planes that old.

Forgive me if this is not the right thread. But would airplanes like ECT have an old ICE system (like non wide screen) because of their age? Or do they get updates during C-check?

They have in the past, and these aircraft are well taken care of, however I do not believe that the deal is still on as I have heard nothing off it for many months.

Does anybody knows where are EK 777/300ER A6-EBA and A6-EBL? Both are 2-class frames....but they are out of service since a long time.

Some sources tell they will leave the fleet to join "Rossiya Arlines".....together with EBP, EBS and EBT later.

777/200LR A6-EWA seems to be in maintenance and will be the first 777/200LR with Business (2x2x2) and Economy class only.

A6-EBA operated EK805/806 yesterday to/from JED. A6-EBL hasn't flown for a while. Chances are it's being prepared for return to the lessor. Planespotter does claim the frames will be going to Rossiya. Let's see...

I wonder if the insurance payout was better in the end?

Why ENT? That's one of the newer ones isn't it? I've flown it a few times, one of the few regs I recognize immediately

A6-EBC, ECI, ECP, ECT, ENQ and ENS are also in storage.

Seems that A6-EBA is also leaving the EK fleet.

They will be looking at hours. I guess they want to keep evenish hours on them given their age. Plus guess they will also look maintenance schedule and tie it all together.
