Hainan requests slots for 3-weekly TLV-CAN for Winter 2017-2018 using 787.

This is in addition to existing 4-5 weekly TLV-PEK and upcoming 3 weekly TLV-PVG that starts in September.

Only on selected dates and if I remember correctly mostly over the weekend.

See here. That said, I wasn't able to spot these flights but did not check thoroughly.

About Israel, but slightly off-topic. I was looking to visit Israel in late fall (November), and looked at the possibility of visiting either Eilat or going perhaps to Cyprus for a couple of days. I looked at the possibility of flying out of Haifa, as it is a smaller airport. The strange thing is that neither Arkia (for Eilat), nor Tus (for Cyprus) list flights then. Tus does not even have its schedule out, while Arkia is listing flights in November out of Ben Gurion.

We are only 73 days away from November 1. The schedules should be out by now. I know they've talked about a runway extension for years, but a google search shows nothing that it is actually going to be done.

What is going on?

TLV T1 is also quite small if you look at reports here, so you should be fine with e.g. Ryan Air.

Tel Aviv to Buenos Aires flights starting next month

https://www.jta.org/2017/08/21/news-...-and-argentina

It's a bit unclear from this article whether El Al planes will actually fly to Buenos Aires or whether this will just be a codeshare agreement between El Al and Aerolineas where El Al will fly the TLV-MAD leg and Aerolineas will fly from Madrid to Buenos Aires and the flights will be marketed as one ticket on either El Al or Aerolineas.

It is indeed not clear and what is more the link to the Spanish announcement mentions only a codeshare agreement.

Also the spanish announcement was from May 2016. And if El Al truly was going to fly to Buenos Aires they would have tons of press releases like they did for Miami.
