Twice weekly.

You would still be better off, with Easyjet 4X weekly to GVA, for a third of the price.

Just to Let you know my dad is a friend of EL-ALs UK manager Uri Danor and he said that in a conference '' EL-AL is changing the LHR flights to 763's and 757's instead of Jumbos and triple 7's due to low trafficing on the london route and the Jumbo's and 777's are needed on other flights''.

I'm rather surprised at that. Wouldn't BMI leaving TLV be a big boost to them?

LHR is one of LY's most important routes, methinks, so I'd be very surprised (and disappointed) if they put a 757 on it.
They again, I regularly fly TLV-YYZ on a 767, so who am I to say anything...

LY will have to be freeing up the 777 & 744 aircraft to be announce more new potential new routes from TLV-ORD/MIA nonstop. If necessary, LY will ever to be reinstates from TLV-MIA nonstop will operated 4x weekly frequencies. It will have to be deployed on 777 aircraft. If the fuel price will going down.

Like the others here I would be extremely surprised if this is the case.

I would have though BD suspending the route would have indeed increased traffic on LY (as well as BA).

Putting a 757 on the route would not go down well with their J passengers either considering it's not much of a Business class really, and cannot compete in any way shape or form with BA’s CW.

Im sorry Clubman, this is Uri Danor (EL-AL Uk and Ireland Manager) and Dani Saadon (EL-AL Vice President) fault they decided it .

I assume a decision to cut capacity on a certain route, due to the need of large aircraft on other routes, would come from the headquarters in TLV, and not from a UK manager.

Jonathon Silva, it is not appropriate to name employees in the forum. It is actually against the FT TOS. Naming their position is fine, but their actual names should not be mentioned.
