What did you use for dressing ingredients? I'm guessing red wine vinegar, olive oil, oregano, garlic, etc?

Dinner tonight was a strawberry sundae. :)

Alderwood planked tilapia filets, cooked over charcoal, with a shoyu-brown sugar-grated gingeroot glaze; sweet rolls, salad.

Deja vu:

Hickory-planked garlic tilapia fillets, cooked over charcoal; fresh pineapple; baked potato, green salad; crescent rolls, mac nut chocolate chip cookies; milk.

Tonight: Roast chicken rubbed with garlic, rosemary and thyme (no parsley and sage ;)) with onions, crimini mushrooms, and baby carrots roasted in the same pan.

Homemade mac and cheese. Anyone have a dynamite recipe? Looking to try something new.

Going to do dinner Sinaloense style tonight at a local restaurant:

Whole fried fish,
Shrimp ceviche, and
Bucket of Pacifico beer

I'm meeting friends at a place named Grevey's in Falls Church, Va. to watch the Capitals/Rangers Stanley Cup playoff game. The choice was made more for the big screen television and beer than the food but Grevey's has fairly good 'pub grub'.

Cooking a rib eye with salt, pepper and a hint of red wine.

Along with that having a broccoli cauliflower salad with some baby carrots and grapes.

  1. The dinner was 'good' not 'great'. We each had a main lobster with a 6 oz. fillet on the side. Appetizer was fried asparagus with crab meat on top. Desert was creme brulee. Good enough to warrant a repeat, but not great.
  2. Place looks shabby on the outside, but is to standard for fine dining on the inside. The initial seating had me in a chair with my back to a traffic area. This was not to my liking, so I requested we be moved, which they readily did. Might be a cultural thing on my part, being Latino, I don't like my back turned to people or traffic areas.
  3. We had a rain storm here last night. It would be nice if they had valet parking, so we wouldn't have to enter the restaurant soaked. Other patrons came in under the same conditions.
  4. Parking lot too small for the number of patrons.
  5. Drive back to the house was an adventure due to the rain.
