i really haven’t investigated this but tbh $10.99 is high for me when I’m accepting $4.99 on Haagen daaz at regular price. I rarely eat ice cream at home so when I buy it, I will generally buy premium brands if on sale at $3.99 and down, else I’ll accept a different sugar. As it is, we have enough sugar at home that I could stop buying ice cream & other cookies etc for myself for 2020 and I’ll have more than enough of other things to enjoy for dessert.

$10.99 is a "bargain." It goes for more at some locations.

This is what I’m working on for dinner. Country style pork ribs. I hope mine look this good (or, I should say, taste as good as these look).

Some think so

This Ice Cream Costs $12 A Pint. Heres Why Its Worth It

Jenis Splendid Ice Creams combine top-notch ingredients with a socially responsible vision of how to do business. The results? Delicious.

Jeni Britton Bauers ice cream is a hit thanks to painstakingly sourced ingredients and carefully crafted flavors. And unlike many of her competitors, she makes the base from scratch. She also goes to extreme lengths to ensure quality, such as baking cakes herself for her pineapple upside-down cake frozen yogurt.

Cheese grits and a bean salad. I hated grits growing up, but that was because the only ones I ever had were instant grits hydrated with water. We use a pressure cooker (1c grits : 3c water : 1c whole milk) and then stir in a cup or so of good cheese (with a bit of sodium citrate to keep everything emulsified and smooth).

The bean salad was chickpeas, edamame, and black beans with diced bell peppers, serrano peppers, and cilantro in a dressing of olive oil, yuzu, lime juice, cumin, and Malaysian Baba chili powder.

I never had grits growing up but when I tasted them I didn't like them - until a black woman I worked with gave me some cheese grits that she had made. We used to take the train from Chicago to Springfield together for work. She always brought extra for me.

One of my favorite restaurants has a bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, served with Mexican street corn and cheese grits. Heaven.

What? I love ice cream but you paid $10.99 a pint for ice cream? wow. And I am not a big Haagen daaz fan...much too hard for me.
Did you top it with the $10/lb cherries? For $20 I would rather have lobster.

I loved our cheese pizza so much - it was the first time that I didnt use a rolling pin for the dough and I only used my hands and some flour to avoid stickiness. I really cant see myself justifying the return to any pizzeria.

i learned this year that pork butt refers to the shoulder. Oops, I definitely thought it referred to the cheeks.
I always loved roasted pork shoulder (schaufele) when dining in Germany. At some point I need to open my German cook book and start reading it! I last read it around 2002 but it should theoretically be with our other cookbooks which are rarely used since I just use my phone...
