You're welcome. Posting all that now I'm making a shopping list for tomorrow. I've got an indian place nearby that I can get some curry from... will have to stop at the local asian market to get some roti. Not quite as fluffy as the ones that they get in South East Asia, but I'll take what I can get. I would love to learn how to make the fluffy kind of roti...

your menu is a beautiful inspiration for GF / lactose-free food. Typing lactose makes me need to ask for your Caesar salad ingredients besides the artisanal lettuce.

Caesar salad does not normally have dairy anyway. Aged pecorino romano is sheep's milk cheese which doesn't have the same lactose. And goat cheese is fine. (Parmesan) cheese because it is aged it is also fine with most lactose intolerant. Dressing is standard---lemon juice, garlic, anchovy, dijon, egg yolk, worcestershire, oil. Instead of croutons (no gluten) I used Whisps Parmesan Crisps and I liked them as much as croutons. https://whisps.com/products/parmesan-cheese-crisps
and yes--good spot on the artisan romaine!!

No, Trader Joe Savory Thin crackers which I think are made with rice flour and are surprisingly good (I am not usually a GF fan) and super crunchy. And popcorn is the perfect gluten free snack. Everything else was pretty easy but I would have preferred to have the dessert with pound cake or cookies with the fruit.

Funny. I went to a friend's house across the street to borrow a seafood cracker. While I was there she kept offering me stuff to borrow and one was this really cute crab. I didn't use all the other stuff but I texted her a pic of how cute he looks and she told me to keep him!! She gave him to me!! I was so excited & of course I said she could borrow him. He is part of the Lotus Metlox Pottery that I think someone else here has..
But now--the more I look at him, the more I think that pose is a little obscene.
I still really love it and maybe even more but it totally had me laughing all night. Just me?

The "kid-friendly" Easter meal of meatloaf went well. No pics due to the family's rush to eat as soon as they were called, but even with gelatin, it hold shape in the middle. I don't think I worked the mix into the meat enough to be honest, but I haven't thought about making a meatloaf in at least a decade. I'm not buying/grilling chops or steaks for a 5 year old out of principle and those kids don't eat ham, so hence a meatloaf.
After eating it, white rolls, and mashed potatoes, I was a brick. I only try to only eat white flour once a week for pizza, so I don't know how I had energy as a little kid (we went to whole wheat bread at about age 8).

Leftover Brats and potato salad. We had a cookout last night but didn't finish all the food.

Beautiful outside so we enjoyed our second backyard dinner of the year. (Normally it would also be our second outdoor dinner of the year, but we've been bundling up for outdoor restaurant meals all winter...)
