Steelhead. Because the package said use by 2/24. And I haven’t had fish in a couple days. Leaving tomorrow for a couple days so trying to use up a few things (dill!).

Dinner tonight at Fords Garage. It’s a chain I’ve never eaten in. I had grander plans but postgame traffic had me craving something near the hotel. I ordered grilled chicken with broccoli and rice. It was all very flavorful if not picturesque.

Seranos on 31st - the vodka pizza was fine, but the $14 mini donuts were such a scam - oh, well, just trying to use my Resy credit

Wednesday:
grilled (stovetop) ribeye
hasselback potatoes - I like this new recipe. Good crisp. 2 potatoes were plenty and I would have enjoyed another :-)
trees
carrot cake from susiecakes (Tuesday)
gorgeous! I ate there in 2001 or so with my friend & his then-gf and it was really nice. Tonight that same friend (now single) and I will go to Robin and its been a few months.

Walked from 29th to 105th - stopped off for a chocolate chip walnut cookie at Levain (no photo as I ate it walking while it was still melty inside) - went to Mamas Too and had a vodka square and cacio e pepe square - surprisingly, I preferred the cacio e pepe

As I had already walked 12 miles yesterday, I took the train back.

Friday play date:
the host served longbridge pizza. In fact he asked me what I had gotten from Longbridge when I hosted in October and he literally replicated the order except he fetched it with his teenager lol
I got to take some home so that you can see how it looks. Im surprised it wasnt on David portnoys pizza reviews.
bonus photo - esp for ElevatorEnthusiast
sforno, sf - a half-block walk (across an intersection) from Gioia which was reviewed by David portnoy.
this Sforno pizza is POTATO prosciutto on white pizza.
I was walking around Hayes valley at 7p Thursday and both Gioia and Sforno were empty. Zero David portnoy effect on Gioia.
last night when my bestie was at Sforno, she had a 25-minute wait for a table. Lotsa carryout.
hey if anyone of you come to sf and want to go to any of the 3 best of sf pizza places per David Portnoy, heres the list:
mamas boy (Oakland near 19th street Bart)
hihat (Valencia by 25th street, across from Anthonys cookies)
Tonys slice house (multiple locations)

Prosciutto, burrata, and fig Bank Robber pizza from See No Evil in the 50th Street 1 Line station - yummy, though I got a bit tired of the figs by the 5th slice
