Dinner tonight....trying out some breaded chicken burgs... didn't have any lettuce in the house, but the patties, some cheddar slices, some homemade pickled long pepper slices and some sesame buns... (and some ketchup and relish).... not too bad for store-brand patties. But they need some salt. Still have a few leftover.... likely tomorrow's lunch. Will try sirachamayo or maybe hoisin next.

My local fish market had some cod cheeks and I had been wanting to try them for a while. I found a Spanish recipe for cod with peppers, onions, garlic, and paprika. The taste and texture reminded me of my last meal in Barcelona a few weeks ago, and that makes me happy because I really enjoyed it. Ill be making this again.

I bought a box of those breaded chicken burgers a few weeks ago and they turned out to be very flexible for quick lunches and dinners.

Novy, SF:
fieldworks hazy ipa
shared:
polenta
hummus
spanakopita
calamari wrap
Bonus candies:
salty licorice (Norway or Denmark)
haribo frogs
saint Mary molasses & peanut butter candy (tootsy roll form factor)
ETA - as much as I love Novy, I will probably not get the calamari wrap in future visits.

Flying to ORD tomorrow so just carryout tonight. Maybe see some of you at the ORD luncheon DO on Monday 8/7?!?!
pizza hacker, SF:
summer favorite pizza (summer tomatoes & arugula)
chopped Italian salad
yummy. This kind of chewier pizza is best eaten on premises - maybe just Detroit and deep dish work better for carryout / delivery?
