I usually bake turkey burgers the same way I bake chicken breasts or fish. If I'm just making one I'll do it up in the frying pan but I try to use as little oil/fat as possible when cooking and when baking I can skip it altogether.

Just had a can of reduced-sodium chicken and wild rice soup and some leftover Triscuits from the Drunk DO.

That sounds great! Will have to find a store around here that makes them or will have to try it out myself. Cranberries are on sale this week so that might be a good opportunity.

Yep, baked. Don't get me wrong though, I also like to bite into a charbroiled burger!
Yes, the cranberries are mixed in with the ground turkey with some seasoning. The cranberry bits are very small, so you don't notice any texture inconsistencies when eating.

Re: bacon on doughnuts, I think I've had where a strip of not so crispy bacon was laid on top of the bar and the really enjoyable kind with crispy crumbled bacon sprinkled on top. To me, that matters. I don't want chewy bacon on my donut.

And re: coq au vin, thank you for that idea. It reminds me of my childhood, a special meal we only occasionally had. I guess I will be buying some white wine for the first time in my life sometime soon.

ETA: Does Trader Joe's have a white Two Buck Chuck or does that only come in red?

The first time I ever had a donut with bacon on it was in Salt Lake City when they opened the S-Line streetcar. I don't think I've had one since.

My mother made coq au vin earlier this year for the first time and it came out great. Last night that was what they had at the JFK Centurion Lounge and it wasn't as good but it was still very tasty.

TJ's has chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and a cabernet and another red. I like Purple Moon chardonnay from TJ and it is only a couple bucks more. It is very drinkable and would work for cooking. You have never bought white wine in your life??

Thought it was a pistachio ( and got really excited ) or matcha tiramisu , then the Dao Paolo guy said it was spinach frittata !! , a real let down .. looked more like tiramisu than a brownie in the display .
Decided to try it nonetheless as somewhat brings back memories of breakfast at Amanusa , Bali , which is sadly no more

Trader Joe's Thanksgiving stuffing flavored kettle chips.
I took them to a friend's house a few years ago & we used them for the appetizer & had gravy to dip them in. :D

That calls for a Jones Thanksgiving soda.

OMG--I can't believe there is such a thing....has anyone tried it? That's pretty funny but I would give it a shot. Speaking of shots...I wonder if there is some booze that would be good mixed in there.
