Blooms end pop up, San Francisco ca
key lime pie cake nazook With cherry pit spice twist with passionfruit knot with rose geranium brioche with chocolate / chicory / pumpkin butter 2 savory things for my spouse got there 40 minutes before opening and was first in line. 4 minutes later some old guy, probably a couple years my junior, approaches and asks if I’m in line. Ok millenium, why else am I standing there? By the time the pop up started, there were 25 punters in line. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1a147157c.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d71ac69d5.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...352e5071b.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...6fac2c45e.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...7b683136e.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f0d5efe28.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...928abce1b.jpeg |
Lunch, as expected. Steak was thin cut, but pretty tender. Roasted corn was berry, berry nice.

That sounds so good... the package of sausage I bought has five in there, maybe I'll save one for a breakfast.

My 9 year old made me breakfast in bed. She just bought a holiday themed mini-waffle maker. So I got a Santa waffle, that was a bit undercooked in the middle, a ramekin of white chocolate and peppermint covered pretzels, and a cup of Mexican Coke. A bit too much on the sweet items.
Hoping for a more balanced lunch of bbq steak and corn on the cob, with mashed potatoes and turkey gravy.

Ended up not having carrots for lunch yesterday... had a sushi salmon roll instead.
Dinner was a Greek salad with chicken gyro from a really great place in Long Island. Breakfast today was leftover salad, some fruit, and a spicy turkey sausage link. -J. |

In our HI condo with a not well stocked refrigerator, improvised with what I’ll call Smoky link, egg and cheese McMuffin this morning. |
Lunch: turkey meatloaf (60% ground turkey, 40% chopped spicy turkey sausage), carrots, melon. Half of the meatloaf is in the freezer; I also made sliders (burgers) with the leftover ground turkey and those are now in the freezer as well.
Dinner: rotisserie chicken breast, roasted cauliflower/broccoli/potatoes, fruit salad (blueberries, raspberries, grapes, pear) Still haven't made the salad :o -J. |
I enjoyed broccoli cheddar soup and grilled cheese for brunch and lasagna for dinner.

Ate a few bites of a Chicken Bake at Costco, and split a slice of pepperoni with my daughter as a late lunch.
Then after getting home, tried a new type of carne asada burrito I had bought in the Costco refrigerated section. Looked nice, but the taste was disappointing. At least I have a few other new items to try during the week. This was the N PHX Beardsley location. Still looking for those Hawaiian cookies. Visited 2/3 of the N PHX Costco's so far. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...229a161e2.jpeg |
Oh ..... I meant to try the cranberry turkey burger thing today. I guess it will have to wait :o
