In our HI condo with a not well stocked refrigerator, improvised with what I’ll call Smoky link, egg and cheese McMuffin this morning.

Both look tasty. Breakfast meals always get my attention as it is normally my main meal of the day, ~50%+ of my daily calories. Breakfast is also usually my favorite meal to eat out, and over the years I've eaten way more breakfasts in restaurants than dinners. Probably triple. I make this exact McMuffin, as well as many other variants, although more than half mornings are a burrito of some sort.

Although you can't tell from the pic, the egg was over easy - gotta have that runny yolk. :)

For breakfast, having some Valrhona 85% Chocolates--goes great with strong & bitter black coffee.

I made a Guinness corned beef a few days ago. Today, I had the stray bits at the end of the pot on a Stone & Skillet Roasted Herb and Garlic english muffin.

Agreed on the importance of breakfast and the fact that eating out is fun :) To reproduce restaurant quality food, one has to control temperature, salt, and oil (butter or EVO). In most of my pan-cooked food photos, you see crystallization around the edges of the food in the pan. This is very delicious stuff and the product of increasing the heat to max high in the last minute after the meal is cooked.

For breakfast today: Marzipan Stollen from Trader Joe's with coffee
For lunch: Costco chicken rotisserie breast with onions cooked in green salsa

Looks fabulous! I'm gonna have to jot down these two places, and make it drop by the next time I'm in Singapore, whenever that may be.

Just had some oatmeal. Lunch will be leftover meatloaf, tomato soup, and salad. Going out for surprise dinner for my mom's 2nd anniversary to an Italian place in the city... really not sure what I will get there.

I had intended to make waffles. But the first one failed on a waffle iron that wasn’t hot enough. So I just said the heck with it and made pancakes instead. Because the batter is thinner, they were far from fluffy. But the flavor was fine.
