I have to ask, what is a B.L.A.T.? If I'm right the A is for Avocado? Has to be a California thing, with Avocado on everything. Don't get me wrong, I love sliced Avocado with a little EVOO and salt, or made into Guac, but to have it on every type of sandwich is overkill.

I very much like a B.E.L.T -- fried egg. |

Yum. I last had DQ in 2019 or maybe 2020 pre-pandemic. Maybe I’ll get some DQ while in Chicagoland this summer. I’ll try that mister Misty if it’s there - I tend to get mini Or small blizzards.

I'm actually a little tired of how trendy it is to put avocado on anything and everything. That said, a BLT is probably the #1 sandwich I'd consider for an avocado addition. I also like guac on a turkey sandwich, but not just slices.

I made soup early early this morning. It’s a little blustery at my house today, so soup for lunch is perfect.

I made a sub on a multigrain baguette. Ham, salami, roast beef and olive loaf (I’d have preferred garlic bologna but the mob at the deli counter forced me into the packaged cold cuts aisle. I added Swiss to Mrs BV’s end, tarted it up with chopped lettuce, onion, tomato and Boars Head deli dressing.

I just enjoyed a snickerdoodle cookie for breakfast.

Crazy day.
woke up at 3:15 after a bad dream and made breakfast: Cheerios with almond milk and strawberries, OJ and coffee. Mrs BV had eye surgery this morning. I spent the morning waiting in the parking lot, standard operating procedure in the days of COVID-19. Picked up a couple sandwiches and drinks from the grocery store for the ride home (she couldn’t eat before surgery). I had a chicken Caesar wrap from Publix. Slept the afternoon away. I would like to take a walk but It’s thundering outside. Eating a leftover cold cut sub for dinner. |
I had a treat for breakfast this morning. I had eggs Benedict which I haven't had since the pandemic started. I have generally not been eating great since then actually. These were good, not great, and delivered from a local diner. They were a real treat. The best eggs Benedict I've had were at the Connaught in London which were transcendental. But these worked.

For breakfast, had a quesadilla with chicken parmesan (leftovers), gorgonzola cheese, and Japanese wasabi mayo - consumed it eagerly forgetting to take a photo!
