why? i thought you were doing great with egg poaching ?

all this talk inspired me. I know how healthy it is to eat beans as much as possible . I used canellini beans, added chopped tomato,.sun dried tomato, kalamata olives,.pepperoncini, smoked paprika and added it all to a pan with sautéed onions and garlic. Simmered and smashed it up a bit and then added the egg and grated cheese & covered it. Nice hearty, tasty and healthy breakfast .

Butter cake??? Seriously? That doesn't begin to come close to describing what it is! Heaven might be a more accurate description!

Awesome about that free $50 - one of the best ever promos.
there was zero reason to not be able to use it. Best cash percentage ever; even a $100 purchase meant 5% cash back. The only 5% I’ve seen is with AMZN.

There is an egg poaching pot set here so I had to try it. It requires more cleaning so I’m definitely sticking with my tried and successful normal approach. It would be worse to not know.

So you got an egg poaching pot but you are sticking to the old way? I agree that it is just more to wash and store but was wondering why you got it in the first place.

it’s not mine - it’s in a kitchen cabinet in the house. Fun to try and to know that I’ll not again need :-)

Tried my hand at the NYT recipe for Frozen Fudge Pops. I knew they were going to be delicious when I tasted the still hot mixture and was instantly transported to Paris! It tasted like Angelina's hot chocolate. The salty/sweet contrast is so good.

I just looked it up...so easy. Basically a frozen ganache. Do you have a certain kind of chocolate that you like to use?

Pretty much correct. They call it Perkedel in Indonesia. Usually just potato, occasionally some ground beef inside.

We are staying at a friend’s extra house west of highway 1 in California. The friend is at their own regular house.

The missus makes the potato chops crispy on the outside using panko with soft fillings inside

Toasted lemon bread with homemade Qaimar or Qaimaq (clotted cream) for breakfast ...

Clotted cream recipe please.
In 2001 I read (ancient British recipes listserv) that one took full heavy cream, poured it into a metal baking pan (baking sheet), left it out overnight, then in the AM brought pan into kitchen and scraped off the top.
