OK, I surprised myself at how well this turned out. Lemon ricotta cheesecake with phyllo dough crust.

Invited to dinner with friends, We had the most delicious Bouillabaisse with garlic bread and lots of crisp, well chilled, Cabernet. Crème Brûlée with vintage port and Espressos with Armagnac to follow. Bliss!

Jambalaya tonight from the New Best Recipes cookbook...very good! Have a lot left over, probably good enough for at least 2 more meals, if not 3. Next up will be beef chili on Monday night once leftovers are exhausted.

I did Portuguese chicken burgers (if there was one food that I think Sydney invented it's probably this), Worked out very nice. I sort of winged it with the peri peri sauce, but it came out really spicy with a nice hit of smoked paprika and lemon juice.

9a online cooking class for Mother’s Day brunch for my child’s baseball teammates. I prepped a quiche pie crust at 8a so that it got refrigeration from 8:30-9:00

cream biscuits (scones) with mini chocolate chips
dutch baby apple pancakes
vegetarian quiche Lorraine (ie no bacon)

I’ll never again buy a scone at a shop.
I understand how to make custard (the Dutch baby)
my quiche was stunning - it’s essential to sauté the leeks first.

omfg. I’ve never ever made any of these before in my life.

oh yeah - Omni pr but this is a Mother’s Day brunch cooking class. Why were there moms in the class? That was weird. IMHO on Mother’s Day, a mother doesn’t want to be in a 9a cooking class.

Chocolate peanut butter skillet blondies

BTW, anyone know why the pictures here get flipped 90 degrees? It's weird.

Brunch at our house today

Gorgeous brunch.
I think that we are all eating nice meals.

We took a drive down Highway 1 (California) and got lobster rolls at New England Lobster Co near sfo - I went there with Corky in 2017! Then drove straight home with the carryout to eat our lobster rolls.

grilled cheese & chips for our child
lobster rolls & chips and cole slaw
grilled prawns

Chocolate cake from Susiecakes for dessert

yummy yum yum

Leftover mediocre Mexican food I ordered yesterday using a food delivery service the first time. :(

were you able to enhance the leftovers? Mediocre delivery isn’t fun.
