Did you make sure that the meat wasn't neither "halal" nor "kosher" :p, oh on the other hand nvm, kosher would have been just fine.

If I were a meat eater I would have said great job. Congrats, on your first year. ^

Thanks. Don't really want to restart the debate about this over here but I'm against all ritual slaughter .....:D

Thank you very much. I made turkey burgers for a later arrival, I could have accommodated you had you come. Here's me and the law school gang later:

Reporting from Toronto! At a Tim Hortons drinking coffee and as I'm here for a baseball game, eating the official doughnut of the Toronto Blue Jays!

We made tacos tonight, and I'm sure they were wonderful, except...I can't taste a thing. Could barely get out of bed for two days sick, finally feel better today, yet, I can't taste anything. I almost threw out two bottles of wine before I figured out what was going on. Weird because I'm not congested at all, can smell everything, yet can taste nothing

I do a basic pork/shrimp/chives filling :D
Of course now I have enough leftovers to last me the next three days, so I'll spare you all the pictures of the exact same food :p

Ended up being another great eating day:

- St. Louis Wings & BBQ in Toronto, wings fries and a beer. Plus the waitresses wear Hooters like outfits

- Sala Thai in Bethesda. Red Curry Duck and rice. Really good.

I recognize that guy in the orange t-shirt from the movie "Clerks."

Cottage pie, before it went in the oven and then after I added Pembrokeshire mature cheddar 20 minutes before it came out. We just had some buttered cabbage with it but it was really good comfort food.

You can't go wrong with a good cottage/shepherd's pie although a sliced tomato topping is a new one on me.
When my kids were young I used to paint their names on top with a thin brush and some gravy browning.

What worries frugal me is what happened to the rest of those tomatoes?

They don't grow on trees!:D
