Never found a restaurant at DET that I would bother with but good beer can be had there.
Today I'll be going to Whole Foods...a baguette, a little prosciutto, some good cheese and some sides. Should be a nice lunch. |
Today I've had one of my homemade bran muffins, two cappuccinos, the Gaucho salad from Fresh & Co, a can of seltzer, and now I'm having a couple gummi worms.

It all looks good but it's the sprouts that have me salivating.
uk1 - I'm always amazed that you seem to have some booze with every meal. ^ |

I topped it with a potato, cauliflower and sweet potato mash and some cheddar. Glazed carrots and peas with sweetcorn for the veg. http://i58.tinypic.com/205avdl.jpg |

It's sad that champers with breakfast is rather dying out, except as Bucks Fizz which seems to me to be a waste of good oj and good 'poo.
One of my first summer jobs at university was working for a good London wine merchants. We were the only (as far as we knew) wine shop left in London still selling Champagne in pint bottles. We still had two brands left but had been told we could only obtain Bollinger (IIRC) bottle in that way henceforth. The idea was that a bottle was too much for two at breakfast, a half bottle too little, but a pint was perfect. London may have been grotty in those days, but there were touches of glamour. |
