In the case of Denny's, I think it's also that they're open 24 hours/day, except for holidays, so they have a decent amount of traffic after bars close, when high school kids are out after events and movies and such, etc.

Recognized the name from a recent Diners, Drive Inns and Dives episode that aired up here on Food Network Canada. Place looks great here's a video of the portion of the episode

Like many have stated, I too also don't eat breakfast all that much but when I do I tend to lean towards Eggs Benedict.

Imagine if MacDonalds' served breakfast 24/7..

that would really rock Denny's world.

I'm strictly bacon, sausage, eggs, french toast/pancakes/waffles/crepes type of guy when I eat breakfast at a restaurant. My favorite Sunday brunch is this spot in downtown Jacksonville http://www.rivercitybrew.com/. But I also love Cracker Barrel and the hash browns from McDonalds. ^

I would agree. I enjoy a fine German breakfast, for the same reasons. And Jacobs coffee (especially Kronung) really suits my taste.

Awkwardly, the best hotel breakfast I ever had was at the Novotel Paddington Station in London. I'm not sure why. It's so subjective. I must have been STARVING that morning, and for whatever reason the fresh pastries, selection of torts, fruit, and the rest of their "spread" really was delightful - TO ME AT THE TIME.

How about regional variations of the "All-American"? And would all of those items be included Nationwide? Just curious...

depending on mood:

Dim Sum - can't really think of a time it doesn't suit.

Bavarian Breakfast - Weisswurst, Weissbier, Brezn (Pretzel) and Sweet Mustard....heaven on a weekend in the beergarden......

Hungover - nothing beats burgers for breakfast

While staying in Dublin last year I made a breakfast choice I hadn't tried in years; Kippers with brown bread (and butter on both!). Absolutely delicious.

Second choice after kippers might be this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ast-world.html. But it might be my last breakfast!

Breakfast consists of several cups of tea (not lipton, thanx...), brewed properly (5 minutes) with milk and sugar. Need to be super hot, too.

I should add that if I had easy access to really good cappuccino, three cups of that would do the trick.

At 10-11 I'm ready to eat elevenses, preferably something asian-vegan, but more realistically bread with something. Soup would be good too.
I agree.. brekkie doesn't sound too exciting..

My preference is lunch.. cheap at restaurants.. lots of variety to choose.. you can go light.. you can go extravagant.. doesn't break the bank..

Supper nowadays I go light.. I pick up my son from school.. its' called in and out at a joint.. back home for homework.

I like all kinds of breakfast food, but sometimes, simple is best.

A fresh French croissant (or two) with butter and jam can't be beat, especially if the croissant is the kind that crunches when you bit into it and leaves your plate brown with all the buttery flakes.

Or a still warm cinnamon raison bagel from Fairmount Bagel Bakery in Montreal, slathered with plain cream cheese.
