I like all kinds of breakfast food, but sometimes, simple is best.
A fresh French croissant (or two) with butter and jam can't be beat, especially if the croissant is the kind that crunches when you bit into it and leaves your plate brown with all the buttery flakes.
Or a still warm cinnamon raison bagel from Fairmount Bagel Bakery in Montreal, slathered with plain cream cheese.
