Not necessarily. You don't "need" syrup on French toast.

I agree - "need" is the wrong word.

"Must have" is probably more appropriate.

Favorite breakfast ?

3-4 hardboiled eggs and a couple of black coffees. If the Holiday Inn Express (my usual abode on the road) is out of hard boiled ones, I will eat the scambled eggs, but not those pre-packaged omelets.

In general, Turkish hotels do quality breakfasts...simit, kaymak, flat-leaf parsley, the list goes on
