I would agree. I enjoy a fine German breakfast, for the same reasons. And Jacobs coffee (especially Kronung) really suits my taste.
Awkwardly, the best hotel breakfast I ever had was at the Novotel Paddington Station in London. I'm not sure why. It's so subjective. I must have been STARVING that morning, and for whatever reason the fresh pastries, selection of torts, fruit, and the rest of their "spread" really was delightful - TO ME AT THE TIME.
