Lucky enough to grab a growler of Bell’s Hopslam. Absolutely delicious, and I am not an IPA fan.

Our first Mardi Gras parade was yesterday. Afterwards, we walked to a favorite venue for a little music and fish tacos. Ballast Point grapefruit Sculpin for me.

Invited to a Spanish Tapas evening yesterday, For the initial seafood dishes, a Spanish Double IPA was served, Nómada Marabunta. A very tasty, hoppy IPA with citrus overtones. Matching the partly rather spicy seafood very well.

Four. Friday afternoon is kids and dogs. Today was the regular parade in town. Next weekend there are two across the bridge at the beach.

Tonight we are in Pensacola which has at least one parade. But I have no idea when.

Went to BJ’s Brewhouse for a late lunch and drank Anderson Valley cherry gose and Kentucky bourbon barrel ale.

I'd like the dogs part of the parade.

How was the Anderson Valley?

Really enjoyed it. The fruit is very subtle.

Tonight: Pineapple Willie’s is a short walk from the condo. Sat and had a Cigar City Jai Alai IPA. I respect the fact that all their craft beers are Florida brewed. This is a tourist trap. They could easily just serve pitchers of Bud Light.

Platform Brewing (Cleveland and Columbus, OH) Haze Jude (a hazy IPA).

Platform does absolutely phenomenal IPAs.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Rio Grande Valley now has a handful of craft breweries (last time I was there in 2017, it was hard to even find a restaurant or bar serving anything craft-y; now, Mission has Roosevelt's at 7 with a great tap selection, and Flying Pig in Olmita still has a good can and bottle selection).

We had the full lineup at 5x5 Brewing in Mission, TX, and they are putting out some really nice stuff despite having only been in existence for something like 8 months. Had a lengthy chat with their brewmaster while down there, and we liked everything they had on tap, including the Brunette Bombshell Honey Brown... picked up their barrel aged release of the same (their first bottle release ever) to bring home, but haven't cracked it open yet.

Over the past weekend, participated in my second New Orleans Uptown parade. Had a very nice Holy Roller IPA from Urban South. Tonight it is the standard Jai Alai from Cigar City.

Trader Joe's Double Boch. Nice stuff. Nice price.

Lagunitas Mozango, a very nice DIPA, slight hints (not dominating) of mango and oranges. ABV 7.7%
