Westside Aleworks in Melbourne. Did a tasting paddle.

Meh -- still searching for Australian craft beer that wows me the way that good US craft beer does. Have a few days left on this visit, will see if I can find anything in Sydney.

Local Edmonton craft brewery Bent Stick makes a wicked amber ale called Wizard Device and so picked up a handful of 650 ml bottles tonight to kick off #ABBeerWeek which runs 19-27 Oct. and celebrates craft beer in this great prairie province.

Big Rock Brewery's Rhine Stone Cowboy Kolsch Style ale.

I picked up a 24-pack of Paulaner Oktoberfest at Costco for $23.99. Nice medium-dark beer with flavors of malt and a hint of caramel.

Aslin's Syrtaki tonight, which is a baklava stout. Very sweet, as expected. Picked up Glamping (their s'mores stout) today, but wanted to let it get good & cold before cracking open a can.

Not sure how much longer Sam Adams Octoberfest is going to stick around this season, so I took advantage of it while dining at Red Robin last night.

Miller High Life too good a deal to pass by at CAD$27 for a 24-pack.

Dogfish 75 minute. Solid. Says it was brewed with maple syrup, but can't really taste that. Just a heavier IPA.
