Met a buddy at a local microbrewery (they don't bottle/distribute*). The Helles they have on tap is ridiculously good.
* - As of now. However, they were able to buyout the lease of the dance studio next door, move their homebrewing store to another part of the strip mall, and will basically quadruple their space. |

In honor of our one year evacuation of hurricane Irma, we are drinking a beer, Lord Hobo's Hobo Life that we discovered while hiding out in Panama City. Thanks to BamaVol for joining us for a night out during a very stressful time! |
Work colleague sent me 10 beers from Treehouse as a wedding gift (best wedding gift we got IMO).
Had one of the cans of "Haze" last night -- it was fantastic -- very excited for the two Julius cans currently in the fridge |

A friend gave me a couple bottles of Redd’s apple ale. I’m not sure what makes it different from cider, drier at least. It wasn’t bad. i also received an early birthday present from the kids in Oregon. Too tired to list the 6 beers now, but 3 were hazy IPA’s, my current favorite style. The Father’s Day box contained a cucumber sour which easily qualified as the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. |

I was pretty excited yesterday to see an ad from a local grocery store featuring 3 different Octoberfest beers on sale; Sam Adams, Bells & Yeungling. I arrived around 5:00 PM to find none of them. Behind other beers in the cooler, I discovered a lone six pack of Sierra Nevada Octoberfest and bought it. Drank one last night. It was okay, I thought it was a little on the "thin" side.

I drank a birthday pint last night at the grocery store because 1) I was not feeling social and 2) it was Thirsty Thursday ($1.50 pints). The selection was poor but I must say Kronenbourg 1664 tastes better from the tap than from the bottle.
I sat on the porch afterwards with a can of Crush apricot sour from 10 Barrel Brewing, one of the 6 beers BamaVol Jr. #1 sent me from Oregon, until the mugginess got to me. |
I have an additional 5 west coast beers chilling:
Totally Chill Hazy IPA from Hub Dad Beer from Baerlic in Portland Hazy Domination from Ninkasi in Eugene Surgical Summer Hazy IPA from Culmination Brewing Peppercorn Imperial Wit from Monkless Belgian Ales I'm looking most forward to the Hazy Domination. I visited Ninkasi last year and they seem to specialize in IPAs. I'm scared of any beer featuring peppercorns. |
