Man today was a boozy Sunday. the Flying Saucer reloaded on all the St. Arnold tribute beers (https://www.saintarnold.com/fellowship-of-houston-beer/), and were all $3, so I met up with a friend before the Astros game that he was attending to sample a couple.
Eureka Heights Chop Shop IPA was very good, the Brash beer was decent but it felt a bit off (hefeweisens aren't their usual style), but the real show stealer was the B-52 tribute, a wild ale that was a tribute to St. Arnold's Amber ale. Damn that was delicious. I may go back tomorrow after work for another one or two, and these are all single kegged releases, so when they're gone... I carried on my afternoon by meeting up with a friend and throwing back $3 pints of Dos Equis on a hot Houston summer patio. |

I went out to a concert last night and ended up drinking rolling rock. I did not like it.

My dad and I shared a sixer of Southern Pines Law Man Pale Ale. Seemed only natural as we're both lawyers :D

Bought a few Pump Action Poet's from BrewDog. Tastes like Punk IPA but with added grape and apricot flavour just. Not worth the extra price.

vyturys beer on tap served in chilled mugs with some Lithuanian food. Great combination.

got my hands on some treehouse!

A large can of Harpoon Hoppy Adventure my brother brought me back from the US. Going down very well. Irish brewers haven't quite mastered the Double IPA style like this just yet.

Hops of Wrath IPA by Dust Bowl Brewing in Turlock, CA. Quite good IMO.

Just collected a case of Franziskaner for the quality side, and a case of Amstel Light for the weekends 5 hour sport marathon :)

I have been emptying the fridge and pantry of onesie twosie beers that I am not excited about. I finally got sick of them and bought a six pack of Sea Dog Sunfish on the way home from work.

Out last night at the Brass Tap. Sierra Nevada is the brewer of the month so I started with their Orange ale. Huh. Nothing special. I tried their latest porter, some garage experiment or something, and found it thin and watery. On the other hand, my final beer was an Abita mint julep and I was very impressed. The bourbon barrel aging taste escaped me but the hint of mint was delightful. Definitely unique.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, more wine... Usually the $8 barefoot cali wine...

Granville Island Maple Shack cream ale. Suitably Canadian. ^
