Interesting...

Though the appeal of a 5/3/1 day window has never really been a huge appeal to me, aside from maybe knowing in advance if I'm in F and don't need to get a meal in advance.

In fact, I've mentioned that I'd like to see more stringent V inventory control, just because there have been times where I've sat in coach, while Silvers who were in coach got upgraded at the window, taking the last V seat at their window (and on Saturdays, many times I've seen F2 = V2 on routes I fly), so that when I SDC to that flight, it's F0, some Silvers have cleared in advance, and I sit in Y.

That would make no sense.

The segment qualifications are currently 30/60/100. I didn't get the feeling that they were going to raise the MQM limits - but who knows...

One more comment on this (and hopefully an EP can correct me if I'm wrong) - but I believe Executive Partners only get upgraded 5 days out as well (just before any Platinums).

Does this Diamond Level replace the EP?

Being able to use PMU or I guess maybe now DMU at classes other than Y,B,M for international travel would make go for the 125K.

[QUOTE=Jumpgate;12131496]Complimentary club membership as well. Interesting.

Not that interesting, really, as you can already choose a year of free SC at 150k...

But everything I've seen so far sounds good, especially the MQM rollover. That will have me Platinum January 1, and Diamond not long after.

What happened to the "announcement will be made in August" announcement? Under promise and over deliver strategy at work here?

I'm surprised that SC lounge membership was free, as this was a benefit promoted to sell the Reserve Amex. Seems to remove the value of that benefit for your most loyal flyers on an expensive card. Unless they cut the Reserve Amex fee for DMs, why have the Reserve card? So many people get free access on an Amex card already that is not a big benefit for me.

I was hoping for companion upgrades at same window as DM, and award ticket upgrades. (Like NW has for it's PEs). International upgardes on lower fares, like AA and UA offer.

I like the MQM rollover feature, but would be discouraged from hitting 125K vs a head start on PM again. New features are a yawn. I hope they held back more features for the official announcement.

It also mentions "New systemwide upgrades" as one of the bonuses that PM and DM can select. (PM gets one from the list, DM gets two).

One of the benefits on the PM/DM selection "menu" is described as "New Systemwide Upgrades," which seems to imply something less restrictive than the current PMUs.
