Well, it's called the Breezeway because as you stand in it, you can actually feel the breeze from everyone else walking past you in the normal line!

Pax (also medalion) in the general line were already .....ing (righty so), and the GA new quite well what was going on.
DL REALLY needs to fix this. They are PISSING OFF both GAs and pax due to pure incompetance on an easy issue.

The other day I stood near the gate while GAs spend 5 minutes going through peoples' itineraries to see how much they paid and then proceeded to call out to pax who were standing right there...I cant believe you only paid $X amount to go to Y, that's a great deal. I found the whole thing to be completely inappropriate that they would go through random records like that and then call it out publicly. I wont say the station that it happened in, but it was inappropriate. Ive also had another CRC agent randomly tell me...your birthday is close to mine. Then she said (after I asked how she knew) that she and another agent just looked it up in my record because they were curious since they see me a lot. Interesting to say the least!
Ive found many CRC agents spend a lot of time checking their own email or surfing the web while on duty. I know it's allowed, but many times it seems like youre interrupting them to ask a question!
Just a short rant, sorry

I was on a LAX - JFK flight where I was one short of getting the UG. I did get the seats next to the exit door, right behind F.
The only issue is that there is no overhead storage for this row and the only free space was in the back of Y.
I kindly asked the FA if I could place my bags in the overhead in F as there was plenty of room and F was all boarded. She snapped at me and said "You can't go up there...." and turned away and ignored me for about 10 mins.
One of the other FA's could see that I was annoyed and he tried his best to help me find space. As I was forcing my bag into the overhead in Y, the FA saw my GM luggage tag and said "hang on a second, let me see if I can do something" (good thing I actually used it)
He spoke to the other FA who gave me a hard time and she took my bags and placed them in the closet near the door.
Not for anything, but Medallion or no Medallion shouldn't they reserve space for the seats on the 757 without overhead space?
Throughout the flight the other FA's were just completely rude when asking for more coffee etc... Just a weird crew I guess

I hope you're kidding. Of course this is a canned response. Here's how it works ... AndyTLe's mad about upgrades? Add the paragraph about how DL wants to recognize best customers while keeping seats for revenue. AndyTLe's mad about the CRC? Grab that CRC paragraph. So unfortunate. AndyTLe's mad about BW? Good thing someone drafted that new BW paragraph that explains how it really is the best passenger service enhancement since on-board A/C and reading lights.

I am not sure why DL is having such an issue adpating Breezeway to their boarding process.
CO introduced their EliteAccess Boarding and people just understood it, not to mention that for the first few weeks that GAs made announcements what the Blue carpets were and their use during the boarding process.
Now, CO GAs say something like we invite our First Class Passangers (or BF if INTL), our ONEPASS PLT/GLD/SLVR members, our SkyTeam Elite Members and codeshare partner's elite members to board at their leisure in the Elite Access lane.
Why is DL having such issues with it?

Simple solutions are being overlooked here - and it all stems from a botched introduction of the product to staff.
The training plan should have included a required to rope off the general lane until zones 1,2 and 3 have boarded. Include a timed pause between 'breezeway' boarding and general boarding from zone 4 up. Use the 'breezeway' product name on boarding passes (seems to be happening now) and in the announcements - don't say 'zone 1,2 and 3', instead say 'Customers with the word 'Breezeway' on their boarding pass are welcome to board at this time through the Breezeway lane'. Subsequent boarding announcement should include a note that Breezeway customers can board ahead of other customers by using their dedicated lane.
Had the product included proper field training from day 1, we wouldn't be seeing these problems. I can't imagine all of these stations having such a problem with the product if they were trained and informed properly - is it possible for field stations and agents to simply ignore product training flashes?

Same as all the screwups with their targetted promos and web promos in the past half a year. DL does many things extremely well, but then they completely blow it on a number of smaller, simple things. They get these bright ideas and rush them out there without proper testing, training and planning, and when the problems start cropping up they act clueless.
DL, please sweat the little stuff too! It's undermining the big stuff.

It appears I have been lucky, because the GAs I have had announce the Breezeway and that it is for Delta and SkyTeam elites to board at their leisure. And they actually stop and board the people in that line even after general boarding has begun.

Just yesterday evening, I actually saw the old "Zone 1 Now Boarding" on the GIDS. Ever since breezeway was implemented, it would always switch to "Zones 1-3 and Breezeway" immediately upon starting the boarding process, and the chaos would begin.
Have they made an adjustment to the system? Anybody else notice this?

You will now experience a smootherand ultimately fasterboarding process thanks to our modified "Breezeway" program. It will provide you with the convenience to bypass general boarding at any time via the clearly marked Breezeway lane, as long as the word "BREEZEWAY" is printed on your boarding pass.*
Our Breezeway boarding process will now begin with Zone 1 for First Class and BusinessElite customers. Then, continue with Zone 2 for Medallion members and all Breezeway-eligible customers.
We're respecting your time, so please enjoy the breeze as these exclusive lanes are now available to you in all domestic Delta and Delta Connection cities and are currently being rolled out internationally.
Visit delta.com for all your travel needsnear and far. Take advantage of our Best Fare Guarantee and book your next flight (while avoiding up to $20 in booking fees!). You also can reserve hotel rooms or car rentals, sign up for real-time flight information and check in online. Then visit our Delta Blog to see "under the wing" and behind the scenes as we share stories on ideas, changes and our people.

Of course, this is better and FC kind of missed some of it's advantages of being in Zone 1 when for all practical purposes everyone in Zone 2 and 3 was in zone 1 as well.
