I just had a thought 20 years too late. I should have named one of my kids "Skyteam Elite Plus BamaVol". Dang. Why didn't I think of that when I was reading Catch 22?

If it involves multiple people, they may need to be on the same PNR. However my wife and I almost always have separate PNRs and we have always been allowed to board together in my zone/Breezeway even though she does not have status.

Except for the other day at JFK when I walked up to the normal line when F boarding was called (I was in F), and the gate agent refused to take my ticket. Instead, she made me back out of the normal line and use the Breezeway. Of course, by then a small line of 10 or so people had formed and I had to wait for them. Pretty stupid to me and for some reason, it really pissed me off.

Today I had a new experience with Breezeway at FLL.
Was in the Crown Room and left 30 mins before the flight time and when I got to the gate, they just call zone 3. I am zone 1, GM and in First. When I get to the agent on the Breezeway side, he says this side is for zone 4!
I said I am first and says first boarded already. I wanted to say that first may have been called, but first is not boarded. He then takes my BP so I can get on. Where do they learn to make this stuff up?

Also with CVG in the A terminal. Even though its mostly DL Connection, they need to be consistent and open the breezeway instead of just leaving it "closed".

FLL is probably the one station that is the most inconsistent with the breezeway. Especially at the gate that DL shares with YX (Midwest), they move the Breezeway out for the YX flight, but sometimes never bring it back out when its back to a DL gate, nor even mention breezeway during boarding.

The physical layout just doesn't work at most stations. When there is only one BP scanner they need a single GA to be able to control both lines plus the scanner. Having the scanner between the lines would work but having the scanner and non-BW line close together leaves the BW line stranded.

Most of the time when we board with the Breezeway we have trouble getting the attention of the GA. Often the GA seems irritated that we are standing in a place that is not convenient for her. I agree that it needs to be re-configured in some more efficient way, and GAs need to be a little more polite about managing it.
I do, however, really like the concept.

those delta employees should be reported and if they continued to not follow delta guidelines they should be part of the 1000 or more delta employees that are soon if not already let go

I have had good success with the breezeway line. They even had it at OTP and I got right on no problem.
My strategy is to walk up to the breezeway side, make eye contact, and simply say the word "breezeway" and hold up my pass. Most GA's would rather just send me thru than delay everyone else.
I am SM so I am always breezeway. I always go for an exit row so I get Zone 2 a lot anyway.
If I experience and problems I will surely report them. Then only way we can get this system improved is to point out the problems, otherwise they will remain and go unfixed.

The Breezeway has alot of Southwest attributes. Grandma in her wheelchair is then followed by her 4 children and 16 grandchildren, and then anyone with a stuffy nose

Breezeway Worked for Me (Finally!)
Saturday morning in ATL I dallied a little in the CRC before heading to the gate for my 7:15 departure to LAX. When I got there, they were boarding Zone 4 with quite a few people in line. The Breezeway line was empty. I walked up the Breezeway lane and stopped. The GA immediately reached across the other lane to take and scan my BP. The whole process took about 5 seconds. In fact, it was a breeze!
