i was wondering about this too. my sis was flying DEN-ATL a few days ago and had breezeway on her bp even though she was on a U fare and was not in an exit row or bulkhead. we got excited thinking it meant she had unknowingly achieved some medallion status through lots of flights to hawaii but turned out she only had 3k mqm and no status.
perhaps delta is teasing people into wanting to achieve status with this breezeway stuff.

I know there's been a lot of problems with implementing the Breezeway, but is Zone 1 truly for FC pax only?.....then Breezeway begins with Zone 2....?
Which line do you get in if you are a Medallion flying in FC? (Assuming my zone will be 1)

Officially, Breezeway boarding now begins after Zone 1. So if you are a Medallion in FC, your BP will say "Zone 1" and "Breezeway". If you want to board as soon as you are allowed, go with Zone 1. If you arrive at the gate late, use Breezeway.
The inconsistent thing is that sometimes the GAs insist that everyone with "Breezeway" on their BP use the Breezeway line. There have been reports of Medallions who were were happy to board in Zone 2 or 3 as printed on their BP, but when reaching the scanner, the GA told them to go get in the Breezeway lane. Now that's "Stuck on Stupid".

Few months back, I was flying the early morning flight from ATL-DTW. When it was time to board zone 1, I stood in the general boarding line, when I noticed a business attired lady standing by herself in the breezeway and was brandishing her silver card that she was supose board ahead of them. The young couple front of me just ignored her. Well, being the nice guy I am, I told her she should be front of me and let her through.

Today while I was lining up to board FC from HNL-ATL, the GA announced 'We're boarding Zone 1 only!' That should be pretty clear that even if you have Breezeway and not Zone 1, you have to wait. Yes?
I just stayed in the general line.

Why would being in the exit row give that privilege? I had exit row seats on three of my four flights in the past week but didn't have "Breezeway" on my boarding passes, nor did I expect to, because I'm not elite. DL should know who is elite and not elite regardless of seat assignment ...

One of the 757 variants has a row (19?) that has no underseat storage and also no above-seat bin for storing luggage. This row happens to be an exit row, but I believe passengers seated in this row get Zone 1 to ensure they have space for their luggage.

Ok, Breezeway has served it's purpose a couple times when I get to the airport 30-45 minutes before the flight takes off (online check in). It's kinda fun to walk past the steerage and get right at the front of the line to board. When taking day trips two or three times a week every little perk makes life easier.
On the other hand.. While boarding zone 1 there is always.. ALWAYS some moron that gets in breezeway. We're all breezeway idiot! Get in the back of the line.

I had a couple who hustled to the front of Breezeway line and only the husband had 'Breezeway' on his ticket. The wife didn't. They got to board before any Zone1 passengers.
Imagine if it was a family of 4 or 5 with only one parent with 'Breezeway', will they be allowed to board together? Has anyone seen this?
