Wait, aren't you the founder of a web design firm? Gee, I'd think embedding an image on a forum would be easy as pie for you... Sure wouldn't instill confidence in a customer.

You might be thinking of President Poroshenko - the good cop to Yatsenyuk's bad cop in international relations.

Doesn't DL have a special VIP room at JFK? It seems odd that he's using the regular public SC.

I hope the group had enough executive memberships to get everyone in, now that AmEx cards don't allow guests.

That is a good point. We even have an entire VIP "wing/terminal" at Schiphol for VIPs and those willing to "pay to play!" Private security, immigration, and a ride to the plane. Sort of surprises me JFK has no such thing. Delta already has the cars, to ride folks to the plane; so probably wouldn't be that much more trouble to coordinate a special VIP lounge/waiting area.

Is there a SC membership option that includes "entourage"? If not, do you think they have the DL Amex and were able to get the discounted day passes?

Probably no big deal to New Yorkers, but I was walking by the UN last night and was impressed with the presence of security from many different nations. I saw one high-level representative getting into his motorcade in front of the Hilton Manhattan East.

Wonder if they charged the huge contingent of armed secret service agents...

Saw former Italian Mario Monti in that very lounge not too long ago. Prime Ministers of declining European countries -- they're just like us...

They were a mix of DSS, Ukraine SBU, and not US Secret Service.

Appears the JFK VIP room is in overflow mode, too many world leaders, not enough VIP rooms.

I can tell you for a fact they were being escorted by US Secret Service. 100%

It is a big deal to New Yorkers, but not in the ways you might think. The UN GA throws up so many barriers that it can impede pedestrian access. On Wednesday I find myself suddenly trapped for about 30 minutes walking home from work. Nothing like not being able to go in any direction, and the NYPD not having any idea as to how long one will be stuck.

What makes you privy to such intelligence? And if it is the case, and they are from the US Secret Service, what is your point?

FYI, I work the UNGA detail and as a supervisor with NYPD I can assure you its not the NYPD's fault. We are at the mercy of these heads of states. We have zero say and little advanced notice as to their exact schedule and time of movements. We do however, need to put pedestrian freezes in effect so that when they are ready to move, we are ready. That takes time. I'd love to get into more detail but I can't and I also know that it is a huge inconvenience for the general public, but its not the NYPD's fault..its like saying a flight is delayed due to weather and blaming delta for not knowing exactly when the flight will depart
