I saw Pharrell (the hat dude) in the B25 smoking lounge a few weeks ago. None of the old people knew who he was, but I said hello and told him I was impressed with his hat's celebrity status.

While he was still coaching Notre Dame, he was traveling on Delta with his wife Beth to get to a speaking engagement. That same day, my wife was traveling DCA-DFW-ABQ on business. My wife got to DFW and headed into one of the Crown Rooms there. She then went up to the bar to get a drink, and she hears a familiar voice right behind her, and, lo and behold, it is Lou. My wife told him that she was a Saint Mary's College alumna and lifelong ND fan; Lou invited her to sit with him and Beth while they waited for their ongoing flights. He even autographed a business card.

Pres Jimmy Carter, last Sunday ATL-JFK. 4 Secret Service on board with him. He went down the whole plane and shoot each passenger's hand individually. Incredibly classy. Was continuing on to an international flight from there.

Just struck me as odd, him walking along all by himself. I'm sure you're correct, maybe just Presidents and Congressional Leadership have security.

He's got one but they arent secret service and are much harder to pick out of the crowd (at least based on my observations over the past few years flying into and out of DCA with multiple high profile Senators)
