As an overseas based member I'm still unclear how I'm going to earn MQD next year. I primarily fly on MU and KE with tickets booked through them. Is there any way I'm earning MQD on these flights next year or do I need to book the tickets with Delta to qualify next year?

yes, except it's much easier to reach 100K MQMs than a combination of 125K MQMs and 20K MQDs

It's not entirely clear yet what the exact terms will be because the official Amex "Benefit Terms" disclosure only reflect the Sept 14, 2023 changes and do not yet include the October 18, 2023 revisions to those changes.

In my understanding of DL's rules, MQD for partner-marketed flights are actually calculated as distance flown x fraction defined by fare class. For discounted economy, this is often 5%. So for a hypothetical return LAX-AMS-VIE on KLM in V class, you earn 5% of the miles flown, ~617 MQDs. Of course, the ticket is likely to be more expensive that $617 for most dates. You might be able to find better deals on MU or KE, tickets may be cheaper if billed in local currency. For my travel patterns though, the rate almost always yields <1 MQD/USD spent. Here is the relevant wording3) Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) apply to Medallion qualification. Flights marketed by the partner will earn MQDs based on a percentage of distance flown* as determined by the fare class paid.

*For purposes of calculating mileage credit and MQDs, "distance flown" means the calculated distance between origin and destination, as determined by Delta in its sole discretion, regardless of the actual distance traveled on any individual flight.

Yes. The list of Delta partner airlines, and how you earn miles when flying them, has been updated to reflect the earnings rate that will take effect in 2024.
It is structurally similar to today - you earn MQD as a certain percent of the distance flown, with the fare bucket determining what that percent is. Surprise surprise, the earnings rates of a certain number of fare buckets have decreased.

So does this mean that one can stack the highest 2 Amex Delta cards and automatically qualify for silver medallion status? I guess the caveat is that you would be eating up 2/5 credit card slots that Amex allows per client.

Best option - then you can close all DL cards if you like

Currently DL allows Sky Club access to those with AMEX Platinum cards at $50 per visit. Will this continue or is it going away? I can't seem to get a straight answer from DL or any other sources.

So I cancelled my DL Platinum card when the changes were announced because I already had the reserve and the changes made having two cards pointless. Does anyone know if theres a way to have the card reinstated rather than applying again? Id rather not wait a full year for the companion pass on the platinum card

Call Amex or use the chat function. My husband asked a couple of months ago if he could have a cancelled card reinstated, and they said yes, and were in the process of doing that but apparently he waited too long and they were unable. So there is a process for that, if youre not too late. Bet theyre getting a lot of calls now.

Delta Amex Platinum loses all ability to access the SkyClub.

The regular Amex Platinum will get (starting in 2025) 10 SkyClub visits per year with the ability to buy subsequent accesses for $50 per visit.

I appreciate the response. Personally speaking, I'm very disappointed with the program changes . I know others feel different, and I respect that. Guess they can't make everyone happy.

No different from today, except some fares will earn a lower %.

I know another posts yes. However, AFAIK there's no way to reinstate an account following voluntary closure.
