I don't. If it takes "training" to be warm/friendly/polite in a service position, then the mistake was in the selection process, not in any "training."
Oh, wait. Does this post count? Perhaps some of us who weren't even there should give the flight attendant the benefit of the doubt. |

Dinner service? No. Drink service only.

True, but I suppose one might also say the same of someone who makes assumptions. We have insufficient data to draw that conclusion about this employee based on one side of one reported incident. Training does sometimes help employees understand other people's perspectives. |
[QUOTE=ijgordon;34629823]This was C+ not first class. You get an alcoholic drink with the regular service(s), not refills on demand.[/QUOTE
wrong! |

C+ gets you a bigger seat and an expanded drink menu, but not necessarily unlimited alcohol.

How late are we arriving? Will the gate be occupied when we get there? Will there be a line at the SkyClub? Will I miss my connection? |

technically that is incorrect. 1- you don’t get a bigger seat. ( just a little more leg room) 2 - you get free drinks. While they can cut you off if you are showing signs your intoxicated, asking for a second drink is not unlimited drinking.

I was on a flight last week from Atlanta where the purser made an announcement that passengers should close the overhead bins since flight attendants are not allowed to do so anymore (huh?). She then proceeded to march down the aisle requesting "please close the overhead bins" to no one in particular. I am not sure who she was taking to or what her expectations were, maybe she was expecting people to get up from their seats and close the bins. It was very strange to say the least.
Oh, and on the same flight the guy in front of me was scolded (in a friendly way) for pushing the call button to request some water. The flight attendant told him she was rushing to his seat since she thought it was an emergency and that he was supposed to go get the water himself from the galley at the back of the plane. Before you know it meals on planes will be served school cafeteria style - "rows 21 to 24 please get your meals now in the back." |

Why can't I let my pet out of it's carrier and sit on my lap? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...passenger.html |

Exactly but unfortunately DL crews seem to be getting lazier and lazier...
Both of us seem so confident, yet neither has anything beyond anecdotes to back it up. Who to believe 🤔 |
