LOL...Ah, it has its moments. But, generally, some kind of Brandy (partial to XO Cognacs) is my preferred digestif. But, if given a choice between the VS/VSOP stuff or Port, than give me the latter! Sweetness can hide all sorts of imperfections.

PS - Espresso is fine too, in lieu of the fancier after dinner beverages.

How disconcerting. Was there a Starboard?

Yes, it was just to the right.

What does a star being aboard have to do with the wine selection?

My last D1: No Port, or Baileys for that matter.
Meanwhile KLM business flight on same itinerary had it. Air France business also had both.
Quote from my DTW-AMS D1 flight attendant when I asked if Port was back "oh you're too fancy for me -with a laugh- NO"

Delta is really taking their time in restoration of pre-covid catering. Probably more cost saving than supply chain, considering that partners and competitors seem to have no trouble catering these items.
Hopefully this changes soon, for now at least one can fly JV Partners for a more complete beverage service.

DL used to try to match up to their JV partners' standards, especially with catering. For example, DL employed Bi Bim Bap (a Korean restaurant in Novi that I go to whenever I'm in the Detroit area because their food is so good) to cater for their flights to ICN right after they signed the JV with KE and this happened until the pandemic hit iirc.

It's definitely cost-cutting and pinching every penny until they're forced to. Or maybe, they'll just be lazy because they'll just skim off from what the others make in the JV, whether if its their trans-atlantic JV with VS/KL/AF or trans-pacific JV with KE.

What does that mean? She stated that passengers should never use the call button to ask for a drink. That's just plain wrong.

However The premium traveler in me feels you didn’t do anything wrong. Perhaps a quick glance to the rear of the plane to see if the carts were out and to wait for them to finish, but regardless the FA should not have reacted like that, and especially shouldn’t have told you not to use the button.

I would file a complaint.

How would one do that?

Don't You Know My Status?

I should be able to get a refill any time I want regardless of whether they're finished with the first service because of where I'm sitting. I paid for it after all, and it's published in writing.

Only, if you're sitting in C+, DID you pay for it? Many of the folks there were comped from main, weren't they?

It means when the FAs are trying to get through dinner service, they can't be refilling all of the C+ folk's drinks, and refilling the rest of main's soft drinks . The math doesn't work. We were talking about the union representative being able to do the math.

I want another drink, and I want it now.

Filing a complaint? Just go to DL.com and click on the comment/complaint link. Just keep it short and concise, and most likely some miles will come your way.

Dinner service? No. Drink service only.

I don't. If it takes "training" to be warm/friendly/polite in a service position, then the mistake was in the selection process, not in any "training."
