Just got an email from Hertz telling me I achieved President's Circle Status, which I confirmed under My Account on the Hertz website. Since I know that wasn't from hitting their rental requirements for such status, I am sure it is because I had linked my accounts. I can't even remember how long ago I linked them, but I am guessing it has been close to 8 weeks or so.

Was just trying to make a Hertz reservation and still not president's. Kind of annoying. Where did you check to see it shows up?

Agreed, the only benefit is a slightly larger percentage of bonus points on rentals (which get doubled and tripled with the current promo). Overall Hertz is probably the worst company when it comes to recognizing their best customers.

BTW, now at 8 weeks and 3 days, still 5* and not PC.

It goes together pretty well that you get PC with high level status on DL... since both companies have devalued their 'elite' benefits to the point where its kind of a joke.

Finally got mine. Also scored my first upgrade (downgrade IMO) at LAX into a Mercedes SUV from a Tahoe.

this is hilarious. I call the DM line to ask about this issue. The woman says she does not know about the promotion, but she can transfer me to the rental car desk.

I get transferred, hear a recording: "welcome to delta car reservations. Press 1 for Alamo, press 2 for National, press 3 for Enterprise. " After that, just silence.....and then just a repeat of the same recording.

So you cannot even make reservations with the rental company you strike up this status deal with? Unreal.

I registered for this on Dec 16 (made sure that the hertz # was in my profile, etc), and still haven't had my status updated to PC (am DL Plat). I'm suspicious that this is related to the fact that last year I was 5* on hertz, and dropped down to general member a few weeks ago. I have called DL, called Hertz, emailed Hertz ([email protected] and [email protected]) and just now emailed DL (emailed Hertz Feb 11, DL just now). A lot of finger pointing and still no update.

Anyone else who had to fight for this have any tips?
