Yes, the Chase Mileage Plus credit card has the same $25,000 waiver -- with the exception that the waiver DOES NOT apply to United's highest status tier
(commonly called 1K's).
This was the SOLE change United made when they copied Delta's MQD scheme.
Don't know why they did that except, "United hates their 1K's".

I wouldn't mind this change, as I don't have a DL Amex, nor do I plan to get one. Routing $25k through a card I don't find particularly rewarding doesn't appeal to me.
That change would, I expect, gut the DM ranks. If they are going to stick to the MQD route, dedicated mileage runners can put up with the perks of PM if there are fewer DMs.
