This wiki is intended to contain a list of opportunities to fly internationally configured wide-body aircraft within the United States, aside from the usual JFK-LAX/SFO 767s and newer domestic DeltaOne routes. This is a collaborative wiki, not an OP-maintained thread; please contribute by editing the wiki directly as you become aware of regularly scheduled or repositioning flights. Schedules change far more frequently than community members have time to update this wiki; therefore please verify the equipment before purchasing a flight.

During COVID-19, when many international routes are suspended, they can be found on some domestic routes (including Hawai'i):

Regular service through March 2021:
JFK-LAS
JFK-PHX
JFK-SAN
JFK-SEA
JFK-SFO
JFK-SLC
LAX-KOA
SEA-KOA
SEA-OGG

Positioning / one-offs:
SLC-SEA
SLC-LAS
SLC-BOS 4x a week
BOS-LAX
JFK-MEX
JFK-SJU
LAX-HNL

one way to search for these on ITA

This Delta Cargo schedule lists wide body routes by region.

Looks like the A350 is running between LAX and ATL, Sunday only Red-Eye to ATL, Monday evening only return to LAX. Through Sept. 6th

Yeah, I understand that the TATL season picks up, it's just that I was hoping for at least a D1 767 on the route in the summer (it's the only red-eye with flat beds flying to west coast).

Updated the wiki to reflect return of the 333 for ATL-HNL summer flying from 6/8/2018 through 8/31/2018. 764 still slated for that route 3/25/2018 through 6/7/2018, and from 9/1/2018 through end of schedule. Hopefully the 333 will make another appearance on this route for the 2018 holiday season.

A recent schedule change (last couple of weeks) looks to have removed the 777 on the ATL-LAX route starting for the month of May. From now-March, the 777 is sometimes DL1255 ATL-LAX (8:25 am) and other times DL1320 (9:40 am/9:50 am), switching to DL1172 (9:40 am) for April 3rd and until April 30. From May 1, 1172 becomes a 757. Then starting June 8, the 777 returns as DL 1140 (9:50 am).

Just my luck that I had booked an extra stop trip (2 stops) for May to take advantage of the DL 1172, the 777 in both directions from ATL-LAX with the intention of applying RUCs.

Looks like a 764 is also on the MSP-HNL route for the spring time (certainly at least the week of 3/28). I didn't have a chance to find the exact dates of the switch.

Wide-body New York to Las Vegas 2018?

Anyone hear of any plans for wide-bodies between NYC and Las Vegas for 2018? It seems they sometimes crop up for conventions, but I haven't seen any this year.

Not sure of the exact dates this is running but I noticed that DL 1816 (Denver-DEN to Atlanta-ATL and vice versa) is operating using a B767-400 w/ 40 Delta One flatbed seats. From what I can gather, this seems to last through 4/1/18.

I flew it both way after Christmas and at the time there where two 764s daily but it looks like only 1x now. Both flights were full and it was nice having D1 seats since my DEN-ATL leg was a red-eye.

Phoenix has had and continues with one wide-body ATL-PHX-ATL daily except Saturdays. It is 1538 ATL-PHX & 1772 PHX-ATL through 4/2. Most days it is a 330-300, but sometimes have been 763/764 with the one-off 777 thrown in here and there.

Looks like DL1357 DTW-MSP just operated with an A332. Lucky ducks! Usually it’s a 717.

I'm on one of the PHX-ATL flights this week. Looking forward to another ride up front in the A333.

Delta has really cut down the number of domestic widebody routes. The current schedule only shows a 777 regularly between ATL and LAX, and the usual routes to HNL. I cleaned up the wiki.

I also found a few one-off flights coming up:
5/3 ATL-DTW DL991 150pm-348pm 767
5/4 MSP-SEA DL1397 850am-1025am 777
5/9 SLC-MSP DL2846 320pm-652pm 767
5/10 MSP-ATL DL8803 510pm-830pm 330
5/10 MSP-SEA DL1397 850am-1025am 777
5/16 MSP-SEA DL1397 850am-1025am 777
5/18 DTW-ATL DL908 1100am-1256pm 330
5/23 SEA-ATL DL8800 150pm-935pm 777

Ya, I was just thinking that too. On the bright side, there are many more widebody deliveries than there are retirements in the next few years. Should bring back some regularly scheduled domestic routes I think. Thanks for cleaning up the wiki.

It start of summer travel. Those widebodies are needed on the long haul routes.

Even this past winter/spring tho, there were fewer than normal. An A330 is pretty common between SFO-ATL in the Spring, but it didn't happen this year.
