This wiki is intended to contain a list of opportunities to fly internationally configured wide-body aircraft within the United States, aside from the usual JFK-LAX/SFO 767s and newer domestic DeltaOne routes. This is a collaborative wiki, not an OP-maintained thread; please contribute by editing the wiki directly as you become aware of regularly scheduled or repositioning flights. Schedules change far more frequently than community members have time to update this wiki; therefore please verify the equipment before purchasing a flight.

These international narrowbodies would normally also fly the domestic DeltaOne routes JFK-LAX/SFO, BOS-LAX, and DCA-LAX.

During COVID-19, when many international routes are suspended, they can be found on some domestic routes (including Hawai'i):

Regular service through March 2021:
JFK-LAS
JFK-PHX
JFK-SAN
JFK-SEA
JFK-SFO
JFK-SLC
LAX-KOA
SEA-KOA
SEA-OGG

Positioning / one-offs:
SLC-SEA
SLC-LAS
SLC-BOS 4x a week
BOS-LAX
JFK-MEX
JFK-SJU
LAX-HNL

one way to search for these on ITA

This Delta Cargo schedule lists wide body routes by region.

Looks like the A350 is running between LAX and ATL, Sunday only Red-Eye to ATL, Monday evening only return to LAX. Through Sept. 6th

Maybe it's an A350 'test' flight?
The interesting is, Flightmapper.net says it's on a 753 and presumably they're pulling their data from a GDS.

Updated to add regular 767-400 service between Atlanta and Los Angeles starting after Thanksgiving and possibly going through next spring. This is IN ADDITION to regular 777 service!

Also, is there interest in adding the internationally configured 757 aircraft when they aren't flying JFK-LAX/SFO, BOS-SFO, or DCA-LAX? There must be some positioning flights out there.

Arguably this other sort of sibling thread could serve that purpose:

Dedicated Flat Bed Routes and domestic lie-flat / flat bed routes

it's not as active as this thread though.

(one could perhaps quibble with the "Dedicated" in the subject -- maybe we should request an edit)

I added a section for the 757-200 since this thread is active and visible.

That answers the question on where the 747 operating LAX-DTW on Sept 5 is coming from. I've updated the Wiki to reflect this.

I checked one-way fares for HNL-LAX and economy is currently $313 and FC is $721. Seat map is entirely grayed-out though in all cabins, just as the seat-map is for the 747 leg on LAX-DTW.

Can someone confirm full schedule?
I happened to be looking at SEA-JFK and noticed that this now operates as DL410 SEA 10:09 JFK 18:45 on a 36J 763, daily through October 28th. On October 29th it becomes DL1738 on a 75D/H.

I just booked JFK-SEA on September the 16th, and I'm showing a 767 with flat beds.

Is this sold as D1 or FC?

Welcome to FT!

I wrote "36J" to distinguish between the 767-300 variant with 36 business class seats vs. the ones with only 26 (which are commonly seen on some of the domestic D1 routes.

For example on your departure date of September 16th SEA-JFK compare the seat maps for the 10:09 am departure on DL410 vs. the red-eye, DL2590)

The site lists it in a column that says "FIRST CLASS" but with a business fare code (currently D for the daytime flights and I for the redeye). JFK-SEA is not currently a D1 route (though with B6 starting up Mint on the route who knows if they'll try it again) so the usual caveat of D1 hard product but domestic F service applies.

Have to go to LA in September and was hoping to snag a ride on the 777LR that DL rotates domestically between ATL and LAX, but unfortunately they moved up the flight up by 35 minutes in September versus what it's flying in August and DL.com won't sell me the option since the connection would be very tight.

JFK-SEA continues to be a non-D1 route even though 4 out of the 5 daily flights are on D1 flat-bed equipment. All of the old JFK transcon routes that used to provide for lounge access continue to carry J/C/D/I/Z fare codes for F even though only JFK-LAX/SFO are actual D1 routes.

Thank you. I'm fairly new to flying Delta, but I've been flying Virgin Atlantic for decades.

I booked this flight and just happened to notice after booking it was lie flat beds, as opposed to being pirvvy to this knowledge before booking, hence I did some digging and ended up here.

Needless to say I am pleasantly surprised to have this aircraft. So I can essentially expect domestic business service on a first class product?

I will take that, I was honestly just expecting a large seat and some decent food, which was what I had last time I flew Delta business, from JFK-CUN.

I am excited to see D1, at least in its hard form.

Service will be standard domestic first class, along with the pillows and blankets (although sometimes these sorts of flights are given Westin bedding in error).

The bedding makes a huge difference for me. It's hard to really get cozy laying down with the FC pillow and blanket.
