I'm not sure what you mean by this...did you call in and speak to an agent about a mileage upgrade, or was this on the app? I'm trying to understand if delta in some way tried to sell you a mileage upgrade on your ticket.

Doing an ugly multi-city and did a mileage upgrade on DL 182 SEA-JFK. Was O1.
Who wants to bet money it ends up being a 75X, and the nonrev in front of me reclines fully? (I keed )

yep ... N723TW; 757 with 16 J recliners
I'm booked in EC on 1542 (SEA --> JFK redeye) next month and the seat map shows it's a conventional domestic 757 configuration (26 F) ... I have absolutely no expectation that DL will revert to offering UGs on this flight, but I damn well believe they should

Thinking I may do a multi-hop through LAX to at least pick up double MQM to/from Seattle. (Some apologist needs to explain to me how 3 sets of takeoff and landings, flying about 40% farther, and giving out about 2x the MQM and RDM for roughly the same revenue amount makes delta better off...) Really want to get to DM as quickly as possible so I can go for EP on AA and have some time to compare...
Edit: BTW the only reason my one flight was in K was because it's a connection and the first segment caused the ticket to price in K, even though the fare is nowhere near what the K fare is on SEA-JFK...

unless you absolutely want to ride up front on the TCON, wouldn't it make more sense to route XXX-ATL/DTW/CVG-SEA to at least get the longest possible segment doubled? there's one ATL-SEA flight with an international (36J) 763

Yes, but I then have to go to my corporate booking agency and buy it in X and then pay a $50 agency takeover fee, a $200 change fee, AND the fare difference. (How often do people from the NY area fly more than one round trip to Seattle in a given week for pleasure?)
I'm talking XXX-HUB-LAX-SEA, because the LAX-SEA-LAX portion would be DMQM and DRDM, takes 2413 MQM up to >4600 MQM in each direction... 1000 MQM better than with a CoS bonus...

data point:
JFK-SFO, DL 435 1915 17APR - 6/16 seats in BE, I believe all (well, 5) paid for right out. I have a row to myself and was the sole pax on upgrade and cleared list, K+SWU. I will miss those pu503s once they are gone
No cash/miles offers for BE at the gate
the crew is excellent too, the lead was talking about wanting to make an excellent experience for the customers, really going the extra mile (non-dirty ) and trying to engage the customers in small lark and pleasantries. it is truly a good flight...
fingers crossed monday's 2344 will have a no-show or 2 in the j cabin it's j0 as of now
