Probably answered somewhere upthread, but since my 2014 CB still do not show RPU/GPU, can I just wait til March 1st and see them, or will they only apply for 2015 CB?

I don't know how true this is, but on my flight this morning from ORD to MSP the guy next to me said that Delta told him that with the new Choice Benefits, the option of gifting status is going away as well. So Diamonds won't be able to select the Global Upgrades and gift Gold to their wife, husband, parents, significant other, etc.... They could take bonus miles, or the luggage tags from Tiffany, etc......
If this is true, I am really kicking myself, as I was 4400 miles roughly from hitting Diamond this past year, figured I would roll over the 45,xxx miles and hit Diamond the first part of the year, and gift Gold to my GF to make it last longer. Then I felt like I kicked in the teeth by the Skyclub announcement, and now this if true will really make me sick of Delta.
I just love how they announce they want to thank their Million Milers on the flight, but they only reward them with status equivalent to carrying a credit card (for the most part).
I'll get off my soapbox.....

If they kill status gifting then I'll be extremely pissed... but nothing on the website implies they're going away. In fact the terms sound like they are staying... Note the part about selections made for 2014/2015 choice benefits.
Gifting Gold or Silver Medallion Status to a Companion: Gifted Medallion status will be effective within 2 weeks and membership credentials should arrive within 3 weeks. For selections made for 2013 Choice Benefits, companion status is good through February 28, 2014; for selections made for 2014 Choice Benefits, companion status is good through February 28, 2015; for selections made for 2015 Choice Benefits, companion status is good through January 31, 2016.

Can't imagine them changing this, however. Having too many elites benefits management far more than it benefits any additional elite who is added to the already overfilled pool.

Delta cancelling Comp Upgrades Between JFK and LAX/SFO
I thought I've seen everything, but now I've seen it all.
We are pleased to announce that beginning March 1, 2014, Medallion Complimentary Upgrades will be available on flights between Hawaii and Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, or Seattle. But in light of significant investments in our coast-to-coast BusinessElite experience, which include premium amenities like fully flat-bed seats, Westin Heavenly In-Flight Bedding, on-demand entertainment, and premium dining, we will no longer offer Medallion Complimentary Upgrades on flights between New York-JFK and Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle beginning March 1, 2014.
Those upgrades are pretty much the only reason I fly Delta - looks like I will be getting a status match somewhere else, because combined with the absurd walk they added on terminal 4, this airline has very little left to offer.

From T-24 to boarding 16 out of the 20 BEs were open and available.
After March 1, many of these 16 (minus a few that might have paid and/or used SWUs) would have flown empty
