*Note: This version has doors near the engines (like the 764) and only has one over-wing exit. There are lavatories near the 2nd set of doors (13-14CDE do not exist). Unlike all other 767 versions Delta has, there isn't a lavatory set near the over-wing exits (because they are near the 2nd set of doors).

*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

Sept 25 2020 Announcement: Delta to retire 717, 767-300ER and CRJ-200

I just flew the old recliner style SEA-KIX a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was much more comfortable than the NW style inclined flat seats. I was actually able to get some sleep for a change.

I'm still waiting for a chance to try the new flat seats. (November NGO-DTW).

Last night I got the fortunate swap from EZE to ship 1601, the first 76U converted to a 76L. Pleasant surprise and a very nice ride! It'll be nice once the conversions ramp up again this fall and we have more 767s with the flatbeds and AVOD at each seat....not to mention the much larger overhead bins and nicer restrooms!

I am still showing a 764 for SVO-JFK in early October, but I think this changes within a month perhaps to the old recliner 763s which I avoid whenever possible.

I am at a meeting in Crete that is planning a meeting for Nov 2013 so how likely is it that SVO-JFK will have either a 764 or one of the newly reconfigured 763s during the Russian winter?

As mentioned in the other thread about Delta applying for SEA-HND with a "high density" 763ER, ship 199 is supposedly the first one to get the high-density configuration of 26J 200EC/Y (with 25J seats for sale since 1J seat will be used for pilot rest). And according to a reputable source over on the other site, there will be at least 13 or more of these high-density 767s (to be coded as "76Z"). Ships 187 - 199 (i.e., N187DN through N199DN) will become 76Zs.

Would be interesting to see if they could reconfigure 187-199 so that they would have the same J/EC/Y albeit with different location of exit rows as the 76G's to allow for greater operational flexibility (might annoy some people though if there is an aircraft swap and exit rows become regular seats and please those whose regular seats become exit rows)

Now that they've announced that flat beds will be on ATL-GIG as of October 27, I hope that they can keep the plane on this route consistently.

So now that the 747 mods are nearing completion, does DL plan to re-start modifying these birds or have they decided to leave it at 8 of the 58?

ATL-GIG is a 764 from 10/27. This isn't a question of converted/unconverted -300ERs in rotation.

Is this a joke? DL has cut so much capacity in TATL flying this winter that they will ramp up the mods and have 40+ done by next summer and the remaining ones will be complete by the end of the year. From everything I have heard, the 76L and 76Z mods are on track to hit the targeted completion date. And FYI, ship 199 is in HKG right now getting the mods done.

No joke but good to know. There's just been very little information in the last several months. The party has been at the 747 mod page. I loved flying one the refurbished 763's on JFK-IST and felt like I had won a lottery.

I sure hope they will put a new bird on the JFK-IST route by the time I fly next April.

I think you mean changing "again"...they did have the lie flats on this route for awhile, but then reverted back. A few AF folks got excited about this for awhile.

Will the 767ER from SLC-HNL be upgraded to the new interior any time soon? I assume that the economy section only has overhead video and no AVOD but cannot find definitive information.

SLC-HNL is operated by a domestic 767-300 (with 5 rows of 2-2-2 First Class). These planes have AVOD PTVs at every seat in both cabins.

JFK-CDG was operated by a refurbished flat-bed 763ER for most of the summer. Since Labor Day, it has switched back to the old 763ER, and will remain so through the end of November (barring any equipment switches/IRROPs). From Dec 1, JFK-CDG is supposed to switch to the 767-400ER, so flat-beds will be available once again.

Don't quote me on this, but ship 1200 (N1200K) may also have been shipped off to HKG for the mods now. It flew SEA-NRT as an extra section on Sep 10, and hasn't been seen since (same MO as 199 when it went in for the mods). N199DN will be a 76Z I believe in the 25J200Y configuration, whereas N1200K is supposed to be a 76L in the 35J175Y configuration.
