*Note: This version has doors near the engines (like the 764) and only has one over-wing exit. There are lavatories near the 2nd set of doors (13-14CDE do not exist). Unlike all other 767 versions Delta has, there isn't a lavatory set near the over-wing exits (because they are near the 2nd set of doors).

*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

At the moment, SEA-KIX on 27OCT12 is showing the old configuration. The best way to tell is to check the BusinessElite cabin seat map. If it's 2-2-2, it's the old config. If it's 1-2-1, it's the new one.

Flying DTW-GRU this Thursday on the old 763, and looked at the seat map for today's DTW-GRU, and it's a new bird all of a sudden. Don't remember any of the seat maps for anytime recently showing the new config. Mine on Thursday still says old config. Any insight? MX on an old bird put this route in play?

The new birds have been churning out at a rate of about one per week lately. The last plane that came out with the new seats has not been put on any particular route (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N175DZ) In the last days it's been through Venice, Osaka, Paris, and now Sao Paulo. So until there's more planes, my guess is that the "new" arrivals will be flying oddball routes.

Yeah, I noticed on flightaware it had been all over the world in the last couple days. No rhyme or reason I could figure out on the path. That'd be a double dose of awesomeness if I got the new bird, and got the op-up. I guess there's no way of knowing ahead of time if it will be on Thursday's route, correct?

At this point in time, things can change at the last minute so keep your fingers crossed, the latest plane with the new seats (N1200K) was ready to fly NRT-SFO on Oct 21st, seats and upgrades assigned, but something happened at the last minute and the plane had to be switched to one with the old seats, end result, a 5 hour delay and probably plenty of disappointed passengers.

Flatbeds from ATL-STR and ATL-DUS

Looking at direct flights from ATL to STR and ATL to DUS it shows those planes will be changed to flat beds soon. ATL-STR on 11-16 and ATL-DUS on 12-1. Wonder what the chances are that those planes will in fact be swapped over by those dates.

I did ATL-STR about a month ago and keep hoping that will be my last ride in the old recliner 763s BE.

I booked my December trip to return from BRU to get the flat beds (BRU-JFK) but would have rather left from DUS but wasn't going to go for the recliner, if I didn't have to. Just my luck

Just today I received an email from Delta that effective Nov 17th, all flights ATL-STR will feature flatbeds. Finally...

The availability of the USB power port would seem to indicate that I have a seat with the personal IFE system, which would mean a newer configuration 763, correct?

Anyone have any information regarding which configuration of the 763 Delta is using on the SEA-KIX trip right now? I'm hoping it's actually a new one and that their information is incorrect, because if it's a new one I'll probably have a 110AC outlet being that I'm in the first 10 rows of economy (per https://www.delta.com/traveling_chec...ucts/power.jsp )

A couple of years ago I was on a 763 from JFK to TLV. This plane had a refurbished coach cabin but did not have the new BE seating. I think that there are actually a few planes that got AVOD added to Y without changing BE seating, perhaps for use on the longest routes they fly (such as TLV). I'm not 100% positive about this though, but its what I see recall. And, to answer your question, this plane did have power in Y, at least in the bulk head where I was sitting.

You were on one of the 76Ts, which were retrofitted with AVOD in Y prior to getting the flat beds and updated bins/interiors (the seats and IFE systems were pulled out of some of the domestic 763s that were returned to the lessor, with the seats being modded with winged headrests). All of those aircraft have since been retrofitted with the flat-beds and updated bins/interiors (these were actually the first 763ERs to get those mods).

JFK to Athens -- lie flat?

I am flying JFK-ATH in May on DL132, a 767-300ER I believe. Right now it shows recliner seats in business class. Any chance for an upgrade to lie flat?

DL seat map is 2-2-2. How far in advance do they need to decide since change to 1-2-1 will cause people to want to shift around and may even cause an over-sold situation if done last minute.

We are on FF tickets and I'd hate to get bumped to Y or Y plus.
