*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

Odd number seats B and C section rows 1-9: Table is to the right of you (B seat has the aisle directly to the left, C side has table between you and the aisle)
Even numbered seats B and C section rows 1-9: Table is to the left of you (B seat has table between you and the aisle, C side has the aisle directly to the right)

Odd numbered seats D side Rows 1-9: Table is to the left of you (between you and the aisle, more privacy)
Even numbered seats D side Rows 1-9: Table is to the right of you (between the window and your seat, the aisle is directly to the left of you)

the only (minor) drawback of the odd seats and their proximity to the window is that 's a bit tough to get out on the aisle when the seat is reclined... there is not a lot of space for feet between the table area and the seat in front - and you might have to finesse a spiraled get-up or sit-down

otherwise, everything about this cabin is excellent - great light, privacy, and comfort

its not a perfect seat. its simple enough to move the seat forward a bit to make it easier to get out

You're absolutely right - and I wouldn't trade it for an even (not that I'm spoiled or anything)

btw, i AM doing Madrid in June - Thu through Mon - so will probably see you aboard or on the ground

Oh yeah? My travel dates are 6/15 to 6/18 (fri - Mon). I'm going for the Bruce Springsteen concert in Madrid. Looks like if your returning on the same Monday, then indeed we will be on the same flight ^

Well this thread was started by Delta saying they would modernize the fleet with new seating.

Now it seems as though the thread has migrated to trying to catch one of the rare 767-300ER mods.

Same with the 747-400 thread. Have any new upgrades been reported in awhile? Nope.

Do I think even the pre mod 767-300ERs are good planes right now from a customers perspective from the time being? Yes.

Do I personally expect more mods and/or newer planes to come in? Yes.

+1. Quick update from my 764 in 1A. While not as flat and good as the 777 lieflats, I definitely slept better on this than the AF A380 lieflats and also the old NW style WBC pods.

Few things I noticed:
1. Seats are narrow, but was still able to sleep on my back/sides
2. I think the 777, A330, and definitely the A380 are quieter, but not bad

4. Many folks have complained about being cramped and feeling claustrophobic as the seat drops and goes forward into the foot well, but I didn't get this feeling.

Amazing, I've only gotten 1 op-up ever, and that was from S to O on intra-Europe on AF. Meaning I went from having someone in the middle seat to no-one.

I found the AF380 J seat, which is the same on any of the AF longhaul planes, to be very comfortable. Not as comfy as the 764 flatbed but surprisingly a very pleasant experience.

AF intra europe F class is pretty much a laughing stock compared to DL. I mean, the only thing to tip your hat to them is the meal they serve you no matter how long, or short, the flight is.

To my knowledge, there are only 7 completed to this point. However, there might be one in for mods at the current time

There are two out of the shop. N670US and N662US. According to flightaware, there are currently two 744's that have been out of service for 15 weeks and 6 weeks respectively. I think we could see another two 744's enter service at anytime now.

BRU back to daily flat beds...

Looks like after a short period (1 week or so) of flip-flopping on BRU-JFK/ATL with the refurbished vs old 767s, both JFK-BRU and ATL-BRU are back to the daily flat-bed 767 routine.

From now till mid-April, it looks like these flatbed 763s will be on:

JFK-LHR (1 flight)
MIA-LHR
JFK-BRU
ATL-BRU
JFK-ACC
ATL-ACC

and the last one will be showing up randomly it appears (it did one JFK-IST and two JFK-FRA in the last few days). JFK-FRA is still supposed to become a daily flatbed 763ER service starting April 16....

Yea, there is a chance but its also done ATL-MXP, ATL-SCL, ATL-LGW, SLC-CDG and CDG-ATL in the last 1-2 weeks. ATL-LGW and ATL-MXP a few times actually...
