I’m in a delayed/cancelled flight situation on American right now. My Two tickets were booked with Merrill points from the Merrill travel portal. I may ask American for a refund/rebooking/compensation/etc. If American refunds the flights, will Merrill automatically see that money in their travel accounting Dept and refund my points? Or how does that work?

Merrill will see anything that happens to the reservation, including something as minor as a seat change.

Will I be refunded automatically or do I have to argue stuff with BOA?

Does anyone know if we are losing benefits on this card or if they are closing accounts at this time?

First one, took almost 3 weeks to receive the card. Not sure if do to the refresh or just BoA being slow to PC cards.

I’m sure there’s no bonus from the product change after spending a certain amount, but did they give you the 0% for 12 months on purchases and BTs? (I doubt it, but these PCs are new, so I thought I’d ask.) Thanks.

Nope nothing. Didn't ask about BT but she did mention that I wasn't eligible for any welcome offers including bonus, BT yadda yadda...before confirming I wanted to PC.

I still get reward points in my account. So I stay put. I get quite a few BA Travel, PR and Cash Reward CCs to use. So I stay put.

3 weeks is on the low end of the normal range of time it takes BoA to PC a card to a different one. It isn't unheard of to take more than a month.

Yes, ML cards are totally on its own. Not related to BA Travel or Premium Reward points.

When I pc'd to the cash rewards card the Merrill points converted over at 1 cpp. I only had $3 so I didn't care if I lost it.

Thank you for the data point.

So if you have enough points for a flight (i.e. 25,000+) it seems like you'd want to redeem for flights to maximize your redemption, before converting to a different card. But if you have less than that and don't want to wait until you have enough for a free flight again, 1cpp for converting to cash rewards is not bad at all.
