Here is an odd "datapoint". For some unknown reason, I am unable to purchase AA giftcards, so I thought I would test a SW GC for the Penfed Pathfinder credit. I bought a $50 card on Oct 01, and on Oct 07 I received a $100 credit on my account ... from American Airlines? There is no way this is a credit from some other recent card activity as I have not used this card since March of 2021 (when I got last year's credit). The statement has not yet closed for that Oct 07 refund, so I am not sure what it will say. I literally have only used this card for the airline credits in 2019, 2020, 2021, and planning the same in 2022 (I received the card in 2018 and spent on it that year to get a sign-up bonus).

Any data points for lounge access. Based on it being incidental credits from US airlines, I assume it will only be lounges run by Airlines like Delta Sky Club, and not other lounges that you'd fine in Priority Pass or Centurion networks. Did a search and didn't see any one post results using in lounges.

Penfed Pathfinder: Purchased $100 AA eGC and charge posted on 11/16. on 11/21 an offsetting $100 credit hit the account, backdated to 11/17.

We had received a paper letter from PenFed warning the account would be shut down if we did not start using it, so we used it for this. I still assume it will be closed when the card expires next year, so will use it one more time in early 2023.

Is there a dollar amount limit when buying a sw ticket. I have 70 dollars to spend yet. Thanks

I wonder if there's any way to cash out this credit. I'm sitting on a decent amount of AA credit now, don't typically use this airline. At least the credit doesn't expire but it's rewards I can't really tap

Glad I happened to see this post, had totally forgotten I have this card... Purchased 2x $50 UA Travel Bank as I never travel AA and there's a recent report of UA working on DOC... will update her if it works

I already had 2 AS fees totaling almost $30, so bought $70 AA GC on 12-26. No credit so far.

Credits posted for 2x $50 UA Travelbank.
Might as well do two more and get 2023 before I forget
