I was therefore paying 1.25x for the point shortage, so I figured (perhaps rashly) that they were using a price 49,256 points at 1.25x = $615.70..

Budget, with the AARP discount, actually offered $606 for "pay now"; even at that rate, $606/49256 = 1.23x. In reality, I saved $606 - $37.74 by spending my 44,816 points, which is 1.27x.

Did this include the taxes & fees ? IIRC, chase rental rewards excluded taxes & fees which had to be paid at the counter and could be quite hefty.
Just double checking.

I just chatted with a rep on the details of this $100 airline perk. Interesting that seat assignment fees aren't listed. I confirmed with the rep and they said those aren't covered.

Qualified transactions include baggage fees, flight-change fees, in-flight food and beverage, airport lounge day passes, pet kennel fees, and phone reservation fees.

Ancillary purchases that count for the annual credit can be made at Alaskan Air, American Air, Delta Air, Frontier Air, Hawaiian Air, JetBlue, Southwest Air, United Air, and Virgin America.

Just want to give DP here
1) I booked a domestic US flight that costed for a redemption value of 0.89
2) I was surprised that I was able to select seats, just behind the first class, for extra leg room. Those seats cost on the carrier website $60 each way...so penfed reward booking made me save even $120 further!!

Has anyone tried triggering the airline credit with E+ seats on united?

Delta DP

Delta GC didn't work

I bought a $100 AA eGC on July 17th but haven't been reimbursed yet. My statement isn't due until August 23rd, so I'll sit tight but I hope loophole hasn't been closed. I was able to do it last year with no problems. I don't remember how long it took previously for the credit to be applied.

I charged Delta seat upgrade fees to my Pathfinder Visa and got credited $100. Charged $63.43x2 on 8/7/21, posted separately on 8/9 as DELTA AIR UPGRADE DELTA.COM and that apparently triggered the credit of $63.43 and $36.57 (transaction date 8/9) but did not show up until posted on 8/12. These were Delta main/economy seats that we paid to get Comfort+. Did the transaction online via desktop.

I tried very hard to be sure that all the numbers I was comparing were inclusive of all taxes and fees, including clicking through where needed. I just tried a dummy booking and clicked Reserve, which took me to a page (still on Chase) which said
  • Taxes and fees
    included
If that's a lie, I will be very upset...

Just to follow-up, buying a $100 eGC didn't work for me this year. Not sure why. Has anyone else done this recently? What was your outcome?

Can anyone who was recently approved for this card say roughly how long it took for the card to arrive after being approved?

Edit: Or, can anyone confirm that "About 24 hours after approval, the card number will appear online, from the main accounts screen", as reported on this MyFico thread?

It took about 10 days for me to receive them once it appeared from my main account screen.

So the rep said seat upgrade fees is not covered, but real world dp shows that it still does?

Has anyone tried this on AS?
