We have 3 of these cards. American airlines gift card Credit posted the next day (12/27) for two of them. The third card we used back in November, credit never posted. Ugh guess I have to wait...

Just sharing a data point. Charged a $100 AA gift card on 1/1 and credit posted 1/2.

However, I've also charged 2 x $50, back in 2020, and had credited as well.

There was a success reported in 2019, but since then negative reports noted in the Wikipost at the top of the thread: Southwest $100 GC purchased 12/20 was not reimbursed. $50 SW GC not reimbursed purchase 01/2021.
