Waiting for people to update about credit being posted for 2018.

$100 AA eGC purchased 1/2, posted 1/4, -$100 credit posted on 1/13. Strangely the usage meter still shows $0.

Angry Bank of America® Premium Rewards® Credit Card

When I applied for the Bank of America® Premium Rewards® Credit Card in mid 2017 the airline incidental offer read

Get up to a $100 Airline Incidental Statement Credit annually for qualifying purchases such as seat upgrades, baggage fees, in-flight services, and airline lounge fees - automatically applied to your card statement
In early December 2017, I upgraded my seats for $198 and I was expecting a reimbursement of $100, but I have been reimbursed only $10. Upon calling the bofa help desk, I was told that every airline incidental expense will receive $10 up to a total of $100 per year. This means I have to incur 10 expenses above $10 each to receive the full benefit. This sounds ridiculous, does not match the CC offer description and is not in line with other CC companys' products. Has this happened to any of you guys?

You were certainly misinformed. The credit is good for $100 and can be used in a single purchase of $100 or greater or accumulated in smaller purchases up to the $100 limit. I would call back again and try another representative or ask to speak with a supervisor.

That definitely is odd and as jnb_tx said, wrong (and does not match anyone's experience here). How did the charge post to your card? Was there a charge of $10 and then the rest post separately? Had you maybe received $90 in reimbursement earlier in the year and forgotten about it?

Eligible airline list (according to rep)

Finally got around to calling about a $25 checked bag fee and a $36 in-flight food charge on Sun Country from November 2nd. I happened to have just been reimbursed for a Global Entry application fee, and it took me several times to explain to the rep that this was a separate benefit. I mentioned that the checked bag fee, paid at check-in, was explicitly mentioned in the benefits. He talked to his supervisor. When he came back he informed me that only charges from specific domestic airlines are eligible for the airline reimbursement:
  • Alaska
  • American
  • United
  • Virgin American
  • Delta
  • Frontier
  • Southwest
  • Hawaiian
  • Jet Blue
No Spirit, no Sun Country. I don't know if this is in the terms somewhere or not. It sucks but whatever... I considered this card "earn and burn" from the start. At least I got my Global Entry covered. And thanks to everyone's contributions here, looks like I can still get a $100 AA GC out of the deal. Those are great for me because I can get a one-way MSP-ORD which greatly increases the easy of my award itinerary planning.

. . . But I outright screwed the pooch on the "calendar year" part Good luck to everyone squeezing the value out of this card!

Update: I found the meter on the BOA app for 2018, showing $0, despite my incidental airline credit posting on Jan 3.

Thanks.
When did you make the purchase?
It is 1 per calender year

Purchased $100 AA Gift Card on 2/12; posted on 2/14; credit posted on 2/16.

Wish I would've remembered to do it in December as well.
